In 2005, God revealed to Shirley one night that he allowed her to go through the abuse because he wanted her to write a book. He does not intend for any man or woman to be abused. God also gave her the title. Since then, Shirley has become an advocate against domestic violence. She has lectured in universities, domestic violence seminars, church workshops, and other institutions.view less
