After receiving a degree in environmental studies from CU Boulder, he moved to Thailand where he completed a Master's Degree in Marine Ecology and started the New Heaven Reef Conservation Program. Following the success of that program, he started the non-profit marine management training organization Conservation Diver, which has franchises in several locations around the globe. In 2015 he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, which he has been fighting ever since, along with the help of his wife, Ravi; his mom, Sharon; and his dog, Tua Pru.view less
