Tom’s Dad, Earl, was a professed but unaffiliated Quaker and his Mother, Inez, an orphaned last child of German (Pennsylvania Dutch)/Irish ancestry.

Tom’s efforts included but were not limited to newspaper boy, janitor, stock boy, truck driver, gandy dancer, marine wiper, messenger, soldier, salesman, dentist, dental educator, and family man.
