Her passion for acting and singing (opera / musical theatre) led her to attend the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York, where she met and married James Doohan (best known for playing the role of Scotty in Star Trek). Her husband's career brought her to California, where she resides today. After raising four children, she picked up the paintbrush again and attended numerous professional artist workshops around the world to learn new techniques.
