She has received post - graduate training in Brief Therapy, Substance Abuse, Eating Disorders, Treatment of Personality Disorders and Psychodrama. Monica has also completed extensive training in Marriage and Family Counseling, Family Mediation and Parent Coordination. In private practice for over 25 years, Monica has also served as a director of inpatient and outpatient services in child & adolescent treatment centers. Monica also serves as an adjunct instructor and invited trainer on psychotherapeutic practice for universities and professional organizations throughout North America and Europe.
Monica has written two Childrens books that are both fairy tales and parenting/teacher social-emotional learning books: Key to Calm and Key to Chivalry. The books are filled with parenting and teacher learning lessons in order to teach calming methods to little ones and provide preventative learning.
Monica combines her professional training in counseling and psychotherapy with her prior experience in the health, fitness and athletics field.
