Maxwell is my pen name for my children's science fiction adventure series - Helen JamesI write my other books under my real name - Bob LookerI grew up in a small village in the Sussex countryside and at the age of 16 I joined the Army and spent the next 23 years travelling the world and it is from many of these experiences that I draw my inspiration for my books.I started the Helen James series as a single book to enter The Times Children's writers competition but the stories grew into a series of which I have published 6 and 3 more are due for publication in November 2017. another4 books are under development.Being retired I have more time to spend on my writing.view less
