She is a mother of two boys, Correy and Brandon. She attended College in 2010 in the Addiction and Community Services Program earning her diploma after fulfilling her student placement plus an additional 160 hours of volunteer time with the Toronto Bail Program in the Criminal Justice Department. Joanne went on to work with male and female homeless youth ages 16-27 and was a Facilitator of the Anger Management Program through Operation Springboard.
Her hobbies include outdoor adventures, solo wilderness camping, hiking, waterfalls, whitewater rafting and pyrography. She loves to travel, has visited Egypt and plans to go to Africa for a wilderness retreat. Joanne has dedicated herself to learning several healing modalities including Reiki, Crystals, E.F.T., Ho'oponopono, N.L.P. and volunteered thousands of hours working with members in the community through the healing power of music and art with Love Project Women And Art and Hopefest Music For Miracles in collaboration with SickKids Hospital, organizing and promoting fundraising events to raise money for Marnie's Studio. Joanne was a member of Toastmaster's International and mentored the youth public speaking group ages 12-18 and participated in a Polar Plunge in 2023 to raise funds for the Ontario Special Olympics.
Joanne's greatest passion is creating with others to achieve success and overcome personal challenges. She has a "we" and "us" attitude and believes no one succeeds alone.view less
