The Bad Parent

About this ebook
Gina made the mistake of falling for the wrong guy and having a child for him. With so many goals and so many heights to soar to, her dreams had to be put on hold to be a single parent. She tried her best and didn't know what to do, when the calls and the complaints from the school came in. She asked them for help, begged them for answers, but the only feedback that she got from them was a shunning.
It was then, that she was labeled as a bad parent. She was so tired and hurt, because she just didn't know how to help her child and no one tried to understand, so finally, she transferred him to another school, where things seemed to start off a little better, but actually took a different turn for the worse. Apparently bad news and the bad parent label travels fast because they started the same problems at the new school, but Gina had it up to her neck with their crap and was going to put an end to it by any means necessary...
Enough was enough! She was not going to let them mess with her kid anymore. Find out what happens when you push a parent in the corner and they come out swinging!

The Bad Parent - Dominique Wilkins
Chapter 1
Regina sat up in her bed in a daze. She was having trouble digesting the information. Although she was still holding the phone, no one was talking. She licked her lips and tried again. She said, Huh?
The voice repeated itself. Dave’s got a gun. My son just told me that he took it to school with him. You’ve got to go up there and stop him.
Hearing the message a second time, she was finally able to choke out a response. Okay, thank you,
before she hung up.
Her thoughts were racing a mile a minute to answer the question burning inside of her—How did they get here?
~
Regina was an attractive young woman who fell in love with an average looking man named David. He wasn’t an upstanding pillar of the community; he was just an immature young man who loved to have fun.
Regina met him on her way home from work, as she rode the #9 Ashland Bus to the Orange Line Train. He got on the bus after her and chose to sit in the open seat next to her and talk to her until she got off. Gina didn’t like to be rude to people, especially not men. She had seen how badly they took rejection when they approached a woman to flirt with them. She thought it was easier to just smile and politely let them know that she was not interested or lie and say that she was taken, even if she was not.
This guy was obviously not on his way to work but didn’t appear to be homeless. He had a rough look about himself and possessed an extreme amount of assertiveness. It was the assertiveness that intrigued her about him. Instead of feeling that she was out of his league, he seemed to have already staked a claim on her. By the time her stop came, he had already instructed her to keep his phone number in her phone and text him when she got off of work to make plans for the weekend.
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. (1 John 4:18)
He called himself Big Dave
because he said that there was nothing little about him that was small. She chuckled to herself at that corny line all day. She walked to the train station in her three-inch heels, business suit and designer handbag, oblivious of the world around her. Her thoughts were consumed with Big Dave.
She fought the urge to text him as soon as she got off of work; she didn’t want him to think that she was thirsty for him or that he could control her in any way. She had to allow the waiting period to pass. While the seconds turned into minutes, and those turned into hours, she thought about what she knew about Big Dave.
Gina was in college and working as an administrative assistant for a real estate company in the south loop. She was smart and attractive, with a good head on her shoulders. What could Big Dave do for her? From his appearance and conversation, she could tell that he did not have a job to report to on a regular basis, let alone a career. What could she expect to come out of texting him?
After she arrived at her cozy studio apartment, she picked up her phone twice. Each
