      Ten Step Crash Course to Patching Up with Your Ex

      1: Be Friends

      Being a friend is important in any relationship. In fact, not being friends may be why your relationship failed in the first place. Call your ex once in a while in a friendly way, and talk about the subjects that you and your ex find mutually interesting. Talk about the things that the two of you have in common.

      -- Be genuine and forthcoming

      -- Listen to what they have to say

      -- Stay away from sensitive subjects

      -- DON’T grovel, snivel, whine or beg (eewww)

      -- Don’t try to score points

      If you’re dating other people, don’t bring it up; if they mention it, keep this subject to a minimum and move on. Letting you ex know that you have a life may intrigue them, but they don’t need the details. The most desirable people are the ones that other people want.
