This book is dedicated to God, my family and the United States of America. In God’s eyes the family is important to the strength of a nation.

I do want to thank my forefathers and my parents, William and Grace Eichbaum, for the opportunity of living in this country and for guiding and directing me in my childhood years. Thanks, too, to my wife Beatrice for being a devoted wife for sixty years and the mother of our three children. And, I give thanks to God and the United States for the opportunity of having three healthy children: Susanne, Virginia and Nancy and the opportunity to raise them in a country where such freedoms have been available for 235 years.

My wife Bea and I have been blessed with a wonderful family of three daughters, five grandchildren and seven great grandsons! It is to my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren that I would like to see this book have an influence so that they may worship God and have the freedoms in the United States that were set forth by our wise and God-guided and God-praising forefathers 235 years ago.

PREFACE

In the present critical time for our nation and the world, the author feels an obligation to God, his family and the United States of America to compile the information available to him in a book for people of this country to review and consider some important changes if we are to endure as a unified nation under God. The author has had the opportunity to view this nation from several vantage points to see it as it is from the inside. He has references to history and the Bible to compare our nation with other nations such as Rome, Greece and Great Britain before their downfall. It is felt that there is an urgent need to Awake, America and its people to the realities and criticalness of the matter at this time of our 235th birthday.

CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

In 1776 the United States was born after a Revolutionary War with England, and our Declaration of Independence came into being. Our forefathers, who had lived in various other countries and had undergone persecutions and restrictions of freedom, set forth in the Constitution² and Bill of Rights³ a set of basic laws and rights for this Nation and its people to be able to have perpetual freedoms not enjoyed by other nations at that time or since.⁴ They trusted God and depended on Him to help build this nation, and our great educational institutions, state governments, etc., which brought about one of the most productive (food and manufacturing), economically rich and militarily strong nations that ever existed on this earth. The Constitution and Bill of Rights provide that the people of this nation should have the freedom to worship God. Two of our greatest presidents, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, prayed to God for our Nation in earlier trials of the Nation.

Our Nation has been one of the most opportune and has given many people within and around the world opportunities and protection of their freedoms that were not heretofore available.

Until World War II we were a God-praising Nation, following God’s laws and turning to God for help, and were successful in many things, including winning wars. Since that time we have turned from God and our Nation has seen defeats both economically and militarily, and we have lost stature and become weaker in the world. We have now attained the status of Rome and Greece and Great Britain before their decay and fall from power. We still have time to awake, America, and become the great nation that we were, if we turn back to God as stated in the Bible, II Chronicles 7:14. God tells us: If my people, which are called by My name shall humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

The Bible¹ and history books are filled with stories of nations that have fallen from power when they allowed moral decay to replace the laws of God. We, as a Nation, have passed the 200th birthday (Bicentennial), and we should continue to celebrate it with the rededication to God.

Several nations have attacked and tried to conquer the United States, but with little success, and only failure, until 1945. They have learned that a direct frontal attack on this God-praising Nation was to no avail. So one relatively new strength in the world—the Communists⁵ (non God-believing Communism is atheistic, whereas the United States has been a God-believing Nation)—have realized that if they are to destroy our Nation, they must do it first internally through corruption, deceit, and destroy our moral fiber as they have done in over half of the world since 1945. There are several proposed documents or authorities which state their rules for setting about to destroy our American Nation. One is that of the Communist Rules for Revolution—which seems to fit the structure that has gone on to date.⁶

COMMUNIST RULES FOR REVOLUTION

In May, 1919, at Dusseldorf, Germany, Allied Forces captured a very significant document: Communist Rules for Revolution. As you read these Rules now, more than fifty years later, keep in mind what you are reading and hearing every day via news media:

A. Corrupt the young; get them away from religion. Get them interested in sex. Make them superficial; destroy their ruggedness.

B. Get control of all means of publicity, thereby:

1. Get people’s minds off their government by focusing their attention on athletics, sexy books and plays and other trivialities.

2. Divide the people into hostile groups by constantly harping on controversial matters of no importance.

3. Destroy the people’s faith in their natural leaders by holding the latter up to contempt, ridicule, obloquy.

4. Always preach true democracy, but seize power as fast and as ruthlessly as possible.

5. By encouraging government extravagance, destroy its credit, produce fear of inflation with rising prices and general discontent.

6. Promote unnecessary strikes in vital industries, encourage civil disorder.

7. By specious argument cause the breakdown of the old moral virtues, honesty, and sobriety.

C. Cause the registration of all firearms on some pretext with a view to confiscating them and leaving the population helpless.

Anyone can realize that this pattern has taken place, with the exception of Item C.

A second plan for taking over the United States, according to Gary Allen in his book, None Dare Call It Conspiracy, the Council of Foreign Relations (composed of many of America’s wealthy men and national corporation executives as well as internationally wealthy individuals), insiders who would like to make America a Socialistic-Communistic country under a world government are following the Fourteen Signposts to Slavery to meet their goals.²²c

FOURTEEN SIGNPOSTS TO SLAVERY

1. Restrictions on taking money out of the country and on the establishment or retention of a foreign bank account by an American citizen.

2. Abolition of private ownership of handguns.

3. Detention of individuals without judicial process.

4. Requirements that private financial transactions be keyed to social security numbers or other government identification so that government records of these transactions can be kept and fed into a computer.

5. Use of compulsory education laws to forbid attendance at presently existing private schools.

6. Compulsory psychological treatment for non-government workers or public-school children.

8. An official declaration that anti-Communist organizations are subversive and subsequent legal action taken to suppress them.

9. Laws limiting the number of people allowed to meet in a private home.

10. Any significant change in passport regulations to make passports more difficult to obtain or use.

11. Wage and price controls, especially in a non-wartime situation.

12. Any kind of compulsory registration with the government of where individuals work.

13. Any attempt to restrict freedom of movement within the United States.

14. Any attempt to make a new major law by executive decree (that is, actually put into effect, not merely authorized as by existing executive orders).

As you are no doubt aware, President Nixon already invoked numbers 1, 11 and 14.

Steps 2, 3, 6, 7, 9, 12 and 13 already have been proposed and some are actively campaigned for by organized groups. As of January 1, 1972, banks must report to the government any deposit or withdrawal over $5,000. The next step will be to restrict the taking of money out of the country. Big Brother is watching your bank account!

Increased government control over many kinds of private schools is proposed annually in many state legislatures. Compulsory non-military service, a universal draft of all young men and women, with only a minority going into the armed services, had been discussed by the Nixon Administration as an alternative to the draft. Sensitivity training is already required for an increasing number of government workers, teachers and school children. As long ago as 1961, Victor Reuther proposed that anti-Communist groups and organizations be investigated and placed on the Attorney General’s subversive list. The propaganda war in progress to force registration or confiscation of firearms is the number-one priority of all the collectivists—an armed citizenry is the major roadblock to a totalitarian takeover of the United States.

You are in this fight whether you want to be or not. Unless you are an Insider, you are a victim. Whether you are a multi-millionaire or a pauper, you have an enormous amount at stake.

The Insiders are counting on your being too preoccupied with your own problems or too lazy to fight back while the chains of slavery are being fastened on you. They are counting on their mass media to con you, frighten you, or ridicule you out of saving your freedom, and, most of all, they are counting on your thinking you can escape by not taking part in opposing their takeover.

The choice is yours. You can say, ‘It can’t happen here!’ But nearly every one of the one billion people enslaved by Communists since 1945 doubtless said the same thing. Or you can ‘end run’ this whole conspiratorial apparatus.

These rules are considered to be the basis of the CFR Insiders means of taking over the United States and making it part of a World Government with the United Nations as the head. And as you can note in Chapter 18 on Prophesy, we appear to have a choice as to whether we will be part of the One-World Government or not. The latter should be our choice of the matter as it will be on God’s side; and God and one person are a majority.

John Stormer in his book, None Dare Call It Treason, written in 1964, cites Lenin’s plan for the conquest of the United States.⁸

Vladimir Ilich Lenin was the Communists’ first leader in the U.S.S.R. Lenin’s plan states, ‘First, we will take Eastern Europe, then the masses of Asia, then we will encircle the United States which will be the last bastion of capitalism. We will not have to attack. It will fall into our hands like an overripe fruit.’

Mr. Stormer goes into detail about the growth of Communism in the U.S.S.R. and the world as well as its sponsors in the international circle (CFR) and the inroads that have been made in the U.S.A. unbeknownst to the average American.

In the conclusion of his book, None Dare Call It Treason, Stormer quoted J. Edgar Hoover’s comments in accepting an award at the Freedom Foundation at Valley Forge on February 22, 1962: The basic answer to Communism is moral. The fight is economical, social, psychological, diplomatic, strategic—but above all is spiritual.

This statement of J. Edgar Hoover related to spiritual was food for thought by Stormer, who examined his own personal religious beliefs and became a Christian in 1965. In 1968 he published the Death of a Nation,⁹ which was a follow-up of None Dare Call It Treason. But more than that, he has tied in the Word of God from the Bible with the problems in our country and the world. In the conclusion he states, "Because of what God has done in my heart and life in the last three years, I know that He can do anything. I know that the answer to America’s serious problems will be found only if our country returns to the place where it is truly ‘One Nation Under God’ again.

America is in deep trouble; the Bible, the lessons of history and the words of General MacArthur all testify that unless America turns back to God, she is doomed! Nations, of course, don’t awaken spiritually, only individuals do.

Barry Goldwater, in an address on Americanism, stated that, ¹⁰"The men who drew the governmental blueprint for America started with the assumption that men are endowed by God with certain rights and privileges and that government’s only proper role should be in the protection of those rights. They rejected entirely the theory that man’s rights stem from authority, from the state, and proceeded to build in our Constitution something new and different in the way of governmental charters.…

"Let me emphasize that these Constitutional framers to whom the world owes so much were not guessing at a form of government that would work in the wilderness. They had experienced various forms of despotism and tyranny and studied others. They knew that the most progress is made when men have been released from bondage, given control over their own actions, and allowed to receive the fruits of their labor. They acted accordingly and the result is the American miracle and the finest heritage it is possible for men to bequeath. And with bequest an enormous power has come down to you which carries with it the requirement that you protect it zealously and use it wisely. …

"There are too many voices in America today suggesting that we change our historic concept of freedom by turning over more and more power to the Federal Government. There is also a preoccupation with a subject called ‘national goals,’ which I find disconcerting because it presupposes that we don’t have a national goal which is the finest ever devised. It is contained in the words of Thomas Jefferson in the Declaration of Independence when he wrote: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.’

I submit that there can be no other national goal than the one contained in the Declaration of Independence, because if we change that, we must change our entire concept of freedom as coming from God and we must alter our entire course of government to conform.

George Otis in his book, The Solution to Crisis—America, states that,⁴ "Problems of the United States aren’t just social, economical, ecological and political, they are spiritual and we have the power through Christ to do something about it! The Lord says we are to be ‘the salt of the earth’—the preservative where we are and the salt is not to lose its savor, lest it become worthless and be trampled underfoot. We have lost our savor—but under God we shall regain it! We shall begin to salt and preserve America again and our land shall be saved from destruction by its unrighteous enemies.

In 1911, before he became President, Woodrow Wilson said: The man whose faith is rooted in the Bible knows that reform cannot be stayed, that the finger of God that moves upon the face of the nations is against every man that plots the nation’s downfall or the people’s deceit; that these men are simply groping and staggering in their ignorance to a fearful day of judgment; and that whether one generation witnesses it or not, the glad day of revelation and of freedom will come in which men will sing by the host of the coming of the Lord in His glory and all of those will be forgotten—those little scheming, contemptible creatures that forgot the image of God and tried to frame men according to the image of the evil one."

Joseph Stalin, U.S.S.R.’s leader during World War II, proclaimed, ‘If we can effectively kill the national pride and patriotism of just one generation we will have won that country.’

The United States has been blessed with abundance by its geography, size and location on the earth. It has been blessed by its founders who set up the laws to check human nature as per Jeremiah 17:9: The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? The longevity of the American government derives largely from the series of checks and balances which stem from realization of this fact.

The United States has also been blessed with God-believing men who framed the laws of our land—The Constitution. The framers of the Constitution had learned the lesson. They were not only students of history, but victims of it: they knew from vivid personal experience that freedom depends on effective restraints against the accumulation of power in a single authority. And that is what the Constitution is: a system of restraints against the natural tendency of government to expand in the direction of absolutism. We all know the main components of the system. The first is the limitation of the federal government’s authority to specific, delegated powers. The second, a corollary of the first, is the reservation to the States and the people of all power not delegated to the federal government. The third is a careful division of the federal government’s power among three separate branches. The fourth is a prohibition against impetuous alteration of the system—namely, Article V’s tortuous, but wise, amendment procedures.¹¹

The result has not only been political stability, but also the maintenance of the civil and economic liberties which have allowed the transformation of abundant natural resources into the highest degree of mass material prosperity the world has ever known.¹²

It is hoped that this book will open the eyes, ears and hearts of all Americans, rich and poor, and make them instruments of God to restore our nation to greatness, for her 200th birthday present.

Several specific areas where America has been losing out and some possible solutions to get on the road back to greatness will be discussed in the ensuing seventeen chapters. Some of the few concerned needs to be discussed in this book include: gun control, Council on Foreign Relations or Insiders, Communism, the Bible and God from schools, family life, the military-industrial complex, corruption in government, financial business, the legal system, the engineering-science decline, energy, food, athletics, initiative incentives and goals, morality, environment, and prophecy of the United States, regarding what is taking place today and what we should do as people of this Nation.

It is important to keep in mind what would God have us do to correct our nation’s ills and take steps as individuals (both rich and poor) to heal it. The solution as taken from the Bible, which has worked for three nations in recent years, namely: Brazil, Argentina and Indonesia, is II Chronicles 7:14: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways: then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Consider the reason for the bad dry winter weather of 1976–77, which may lead to drought, food shortages, fuel shortages and general misery in the U.S. God may be starting to reduce our fruits and punish us for disobedience to His laws and words?? In the past few years of 2008-2011 we have had terrible natural disasters with major damage and much loss of American lives, which is not the norm! It is hoped that this book will illustrate violations and means to get right with God again.

CHAPTER II

GUN CONTROL IN AMERICA

In Chapter I in the list of Communist Rules for Revolution to conquer a nation from within, and in this case take control of the United States, they have only one major item to accomplish their goals and that is Item C:

Cause the registration of all firearms on some pretext with a view to confiscating them and leaving the population helpless. Many groups and individuals, by plan or innocently like lambs being led to the slaughter, are attempting to see federal laws passed to do this and override the Second Amendment to the Constitution written by our God-believing forefathers who never wanted to see this nation be enslaved. Many of them had been in bondage prior to coming to this new world and founding the United States. The Second Amendment to our Constitution states: A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the rights of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.³

Most of the people who would like gun control are well meaning and sincere with regards to their concern because of the many atrocities committed with guns. Many Christians and Jews in searching their conscience and trying to follow God’s law and in this case one of the Ten Commandments, Thou shalt not kill, feel rightfully so that the gun is a weapon with which to kill, and by this law it should be outlawed. A good explanation to this Commandment as written and its intent as quoted from George Otis, The Solution to Crisis—America,⁴ is in reference to the interpretation in the Bible in the 1600s that Thou shalt not kill is now being misused and used by the enemy to render the innocent helpless.

"This is misuse of Scripture. The June, 1971, Christian Herald article by Don Wharton, which appeared in Reader’s Digest, reported on the correct translation of that Scripture in the New English Bible. Scholars agreed that the translation of the key Hebrew word ‘Tirzach’ revealed this Scripture as being accurate not as ‘Thou shalt not kill,’ but ‘You shall not commit murder.’ Here is the footnote from Digest, page 121, that further helps clarify. A change in English accounts for the apparent inaccuracy. In the early 1600s when the King James and Douay Bibles were brought out, the word kill apparently meant murder. Elizabethans used slay to express what we today mean by kill. In Matthew 19:18 of the King James Version, Jesus said in regard to the Commandment: ‘Thou shalt do no murder.’ "

Do you see this important distinction? If Satan himself can inspire the people of America to confusion on the matter of its defense, then America can be picked off like a helpless fool. This is important in both the protection of our homes and the nation against intruders.

Mr. Ronald Reagan in a speech on gun control presented on a local radio station so aptly stated his position on gun control which is excerpted below.¹⁴

Mr. Reagan in this speech very convincingly discusses the merits of the citizens bearing arms versus the fallacies of expecting the criminal element or our enemies to lay down their guns because of legislation, then he describes our constitutional right and the reasons for it.

"Each of those first Ten Amendments guarantees a freedom. The Second Amendment guarantees the right of the citizen to protect those other freedoms.

"Take away the arms of the citizenry and where is his defense against not only criminals, but also against the possible despotism of his government? In police states, they take away the citizen’s arms first. This insures the perpetuation of the state’s power, and the ability of the police to deal with dissenters, as well as criminals.

"I believe that those who run our federal, state and local governments today, as well as those who advocate disarming the people, have no sinister motives. But history tells us this won’t always be the case. So,
