About this ebook

Mike, the uncle of Shay and her siblings, was an important human on Jaded. His future mate, Bekka, who was a Majuri healer, was second only to Talai the head healer among the medical crew. They had dated a while, but neither were in a hurry to mate. Mike had been married before and loved his wife dearly. Maybe that was why he was in no particular hurry.
Bekka sensed his reluctance to finish their bond so she didn't push him. Sometimes she had doubts, but they had become the best of friends and the attraction was there, but they hadn’t had sex. Was it enough?
Radvar decided to push them and regardless of the dangers, he sent them to get the prison planet set up and organized. Would it push them together or pull them apart? Only time would tell.

Crystal Dawn

When she’s not out hunting rogue vampires and werewolves, you can find Crystal Dawn out exploring the galaxy. She can do it all without ever leaving her computer. She kicks ass, takes names, and puts it all down for the enjoyment of her readers. At least that’s what I think she told me. Writing came as a natural outlet for her overly creative mind. She has always told stories and even written some but publishing books didn't start until 2012 with The Rebirth, was the first of the Planet Amazon books. Crystal has also been lucky to have some wonderful beta readers who keep her on track and help inspire her.Secretly, she crushes on all her sexy heroes because all her stories end happily. That is one of the things that makes writing such a joy. Knowing that it makes her reader's day a little brighter. Not that she doesn't read sad books sometimes. While still in school, she read Where the Red Fern Grows and cried like a baby. It was a wonderful book and sometimes a bit of sadness has to be put in books because that's part of life. While she reads all kinds of books at some time or another, PNR and SFR, which she writes is what she reads the most for pleasure. When she started writing, she decided on going Indie after the first two books because an author has more control. She believes Indie will compete well and continues to grow. The need to give pleasure to her readers keeps her going and she sees a long career ahead. Growing up mostly in the NW Arkansas area, it has given her a good place to set some stories and many of her characters come from there or nearby SW Missouri. The start of her stories is the easy part. Finishing them is a little harder when all the stories are in there trying to get out. She loves reading, chocolate, fine sweet wine, and traveling among a large list of pursuits. Her favorite people, after her family and close friends, are her readers who she says are some of the most wonderful people in this galaxy and the next.

    Chieftains of the Majuri

    Book 1

    Chief Radvar

Sucked through an anomaly that took them far away through time and space, Chief Radvar and his crew are completely lost, but not alone. Their ancient enemy, the Dramites, on a ship they’d been chasing were pulled through along with them.

With no choice, but to find a planet to resupply on, they were moving further away from the place the anomaly had spit them out. Trying to figure out where they were, a scientist suggest the area looks like a description of the way to Earth.

Radvar is annoyed. Now they are trying to feed him fairy tales rather than to just admit they are clueless. The problem is a blue and white marble appears below them and its people call it Earth. Is the name lost in translation or are all the old legends true?

He will get his people back home or he will build a new life for them. And this Earth? They will supply whatever he needs because he isn’t the Chief without good reason.

    Book 2

    Junior

Talai wasn’t angry, she was furious. It was true they’d made no commitment to each other, but their relationship had been building toward something. She was sure of it until she had walked into the emergency shelter and seen that female in his arms. It was a sight difficult to forget and goddess knows she’d tried. Maybe she was just meant to be alone and help others with their children.

He was innocent and he’d been wrongly convicted in the court of unfortunate circumstances. Talai refused to talk to him much less explain what had happened. That female had taken it upon herself to offer something he didn’t want and now he was suffering for it. As much as he hated to admit it, Shay was right, and he should have taken Talai the day he’d met her.

Was there any way things could ever work out between these two stubborn people? It would be a hard journey but if they would both open their hearts, anything was possible.

    Book 3

    Darin

Darin wants Jade. It’s as simple as that, but she won’t take him seriously. Now they are sent on a colonization mission that will use all their talents and maybe she’ll see that he’s a mature warrior. He’s waited long enough and it’s time to show her the amazing chemistry that lies between them waiting to be released.

Jade feels bad, okay, not really. Darin is handsome and he’s got the body of a warrior, but when she compares him to some of the others, he doesn’t seem ready to be a mate. Others tell her it’s his sense of humor and when they’re old, she’ll be thankful for it. She’s just not sure and that means he’ll have to wait. How long is anyone’s guess.

    Book 4

    Mike

Mike, the uncle of Shay and her siblings, was an important human on Jaded. His future mate, Becka, who was a Majuri healer, was second only to Talai the head healer among the medical crew. They had dated a while, but neither were in a hurry to mate. Mike had been married before and loved his wife dearly. Maybe that was why he was in no particular hurry.

Becka sensed his reluctance to finish their bond, so she didn't push him.

    Prologue

The selected planet was hot with a continent covered with volcanos on one side of the planet. A continent that was slightly cooler on the other side was selected for free ranging prisoners that were violent and a prison was being built on another continent that was the coolest of their choices for those prisoners that would come from Earth that weren’t violent. This deal would net the Majuri good pay, and the prisoners would work for their keep or join the violent prisoners on the hotter land.

Mike didn’t think this was an ideal place to be sent, but he would do his duty. Radvar considered him and Becka the perfect pair because she would set up the medical bay and train prisoners to assist in running it. He would do other jobs like setting up security and making sure the buildings were built to last. The work the prisoners would do, and any farming, would also fall under his purview while she would set up the kitchen.

There would be plenty to do once they arrived. Why Radvar thought this would push them together was anyone’s guess. He had no intention of being forced to mate anyone. Becka was a wonderful female and eventually they would join, but it would be in their own time, not anyone else’s.

The ship was loaded, and they were about to be taken up. They each had their own room as they had selected. The rooms were full, but only because they weren’t sharing one. Radvar would see that his ploys wouldn’t work on them. Mike shook his head as he thought about how disappointed Radvar would be.

    Chapter 1

    Games

They were flashed up to the ship in a wink. So far, the start of this mission was good. He’d gotten those people he’d asked for and so had Becka. No equipment or supplies had been spared; they’d gotten them all.

It’s looking good so far. He commented. They walked to their rooms together, but she stopped in front of his. This is my room, Sweetheart. She showed him her information and the room numbers were the same. He got on his com right away. Why do Becka and I have the same room?

Hey, Mike. Easy to explain. Radvar sent some extra people, and you aren’t the only ones doubled up. Korman said.

Korman was a great guy, but he didn’t understand the odd relationship he and Becka had. He’d tried to explain many times, but it never became clear to him. For now, they were stuck together. Maybe there were two beds? He knew some of the rooms had them.

She opened the door and he looked in, no such luck. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad? We’ll manage alright. He observed as he looked at the king size bed. They were adults, they would handle this maturely.

Radvar was trying to work things out between them. He was pushing hard, but it wouldn’t work. Mike feared his memories of Maya; his wife and the love of his life, would disappear if mated now. To forget her, the woman who had given him his son and so much happiness in such a brief time would be unforgiveable. Eventually, he hoped to figure things out so he could keep that memory strong and untarnished while he added the new memories of his and Becka’s life. How could that be wrong?

He knew he didn’t have forever. Becka was patient but even she would give up on him in time. What could he do? The need to remember his wife was still strong with him. It felt like he was betraying her if he moved forward at this point. So, for now, he just left things as they were.

Carrying in their luggage, he set hers on one dresser and his on another. It’s a nice room. He pointed out. Becka just shrugged. Yeah, he was going to lose her soon. She began to put her stuff away, so he did that as well. They would be on this ship a month, maybe more.

I’m going to check out medical and see who else is assigned there. Becka said as she left the room.

I’ll go to the bridge first. He followed her out. They headed in different directions. She probably just wanted some distance from him. It wasn’t like he could blame her.

Becka was ready to mate and have children. While he knew that, he’d already done both and wasn’t in a hurry to do it again. Had he never been married before; he would have done this thing before now. Even so, he did think about having a little girl like Becka and that made him feel guilty as hell. This was something he needed to deal with on his own.

Hello, Mike. You’ll be getting lucky tonight, right? Korman grinned like he’d accomplished something all by himself.

    Why is that? He asked.

    You’re sharing a room, a bed even.

    That will make no difference.

Okay. Korman said looking surprised. It was clear Korman now thought he was gay or something equally unusual among the Majuri.

How could he explain it? To someone who had never lost the love of their life, it was impossible. For now, he would get down to work on the bridge letting one of the officers go. He let Korman sit in the captain’s chair, and he took the navigation station. He’d learned to run all the stations and would take a turn everywhere. Perhaps he could find out what Becka’s schedule was and work an opposing one?

At the end of his shift, he had no excuse to stay, and he had to admit he was tired. Making his way to his room, he wondered if Becka would be there. Opening the door, he just about swallowed his tongue. She was there wearing a lovely and incredibly sexy gown. The room was glowing in candlelight and the aroma was subtle and sweet. Usually, he managed to think of her as a friend, but right now she was unbelievably alluring.

Oh, Mike. I wasn’t expecting you back until I was asleep.

He looked at her closely to see if that was a smart alecky comment. There was no sign it was and Becka was not usually like that. No, I just got off work. I’ll clean up and we can get to sleep.

She smiled at him. Sure. No problem. Her speech was full of Earth comments and wording. All the Majuri had picked up a few of those sayings.

When he came back out, the candle was out and Becka was in bed and seemed asleep. He was relieved that was the case. Getting under the covers, he drifted off to sleep but sexual dreams starring him and Becka filled his night. It seemed impossible to escape. When he woke, he felt alright, but Becka was gone. He was unsure if he missed her or was relieved that he didn’t have to see her in that night gown again.

He made his way to the cafeteria where breakfast was being served. Becka wasn’t here. It wasn’t unusual for officers to take their trays to their offices if they had one. Now he would be looking for her all day. Maybe if he got a chance, he would even drop into medical to see her. Once he finished eating, he headed to the deck to fill in at a station. This time it was communications. This station was as dull as it could be.

The area of space they were in had no ships traveling and the only communications would
