"Yoga is not merely a system of physical exercises but a unique philosophy that unites body and spirit. My book unveils the potential of yoga for children and adults diagnosed with cerebral palsy (CP), helping them overcome physical limitations and strengthen their inner world. Years of experience have shown that yoga, with its focus on body and mind awareness, has a powerful healing effect. It teaches control over one’s reactions, promotes relaxation, and enhances both mobility and interaction with the surrounding world.

This book is intended for yoga instructors, healthcare professionals, and parents who strive to support their children’s health journey. It serves as a guide for those who wish to understand the foundations of yoga and learn to adapt practices to the individual needs of people with CP. My goal is to help people find inner peace and the joy of overcoming personal challenges, step by step.

As the renowned yoga master T.K.V. Desikachar said, In yoga, one can focus on the body, mind, or the self, and thus the effort is never wasted. CP may not entirely disappear, but with regular practice, even challenging tasks, like holding a glass of water steadily, can become achievable for a person practicing yoga. These are small but significant victories that make life better."

DUE TO THE CLOSE RELATIONSHIP between the health of separate organs and the whole body, yoga can be positively designated as belonging to the category of unique health improvement methods. The goal of yoga exercises is to achieve maximum relaxation, which, in turn, should awaken all the body parts.

IN THE MOST COMMON case, yoga poses (asanas) normalize the work of the whole body organs and functions, regulate automatic processes such as breathing, digestion, and blood circulation in the body, and have a positive effect on endocrine glands, vestibular apparatus, and nervous system functioning.

Yoga is considered a powerful health-restoring practice for various neurological disorders. Performing exercises from this system enables a person to 'correct' the body and reduce spasticity in the limbs; yoga improves gross and excellent motor skills and strengthens mental reactions.

Yoga has unique benefits compared to other systems of physical restoration because it pays attention to people's body reactions. Even at the gymnastics level, yoga has a compelling component of self-control and self-restraint.

On top of everything else, any asana is a dialogue
