Chapter 1
Prologue
On the night of September 11, 2012, the American ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, and his diplomatic entourage were settling in at the Special Mission Compound, the quarters of the ambassador to Libya when he was visiting in Benghazi. About one mile away, at the Annex, the Global Response Staff (GRS) agents were doing the same. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, except that the pedestrian gate at the front of the compound had not been latched once all were inside. We now know the gate was, without question, deliberately left unsecured by the Blue Mountain Libyan Guards,¹ firm evidence that what transpired during the long night had been planned. There was no spontaneous demonstration in protest of an anti-Muslim video streaming on the internet.
Danger was gathering as the long shadows of the late evening slowly crawled across the city of Benghazi. Evil incarnate was massing along the darkening, narrow, ancient streets of the city, in its covert back alleys, in its olive groves, and other gloomy outposts in which hate and blood-lust thrive. An army of death, undetected, was assembling for battle. The brand of evil that was about to assail both compounds in Benghazi had been born several thousand years ago, and inherited by eons of generations throughout the history of the Middle East and North Africa, and had become intensified and entrenched, now a seemingly unstoppable demon in the early twenty-first century. It is the kind of evil that takes pleasure in striking terror into the hearts and souls of the unsuspecting, the innocent, and those least likely to strike back in self-defense. It crawls about on the floors of darkness, entering the light for only brief moments to kill before slinking back into its hole like a poison serpent. A light, cooling breeze was wafting in from the desert landscape surrounding the city as darkness fell, but on its air currents, it carried furtive whispers of doom and black-hearted death. People were destined to die in the forlorn desert that night, abandoned by the untrustworthy leaders of their own country.
The GRS agents were men who once proudly served America’s armed forces, whether as Navy seals, Marine recons, or army special forces and who still maintained a deep and patriotic sense of pride in their ability to defend the United States of America. Before Barack Obama, the usurper of power in the White House, gutted the armed forces much like he had the coal industry in West Virginia, there would have been a sizable contingency of Marine embassy guards filling both compounds in Benghazi.² Instead, the GRS force, greatly understaffed, again a product of the Pretender’s destruction of America’s military power, had to suffice. There are no longer enough marines to guard America’s embassies worldwide, so the Global Response Staff operates on a contract basis under the direction of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to fill the void as best they can. Also, there are thousands of Diplomatic Security Service agents who serve along with the GRS personnel in embassies around the globe. The men in Benghazi that fateful night were some of the best; there just was not enough of them, and requests for reinforcements had fallen on deaf ears.³ But that was not the worst of the problems.
The major problem was smugly ensconced at a desk in the Oval Office in America’s White House; not Obama’s White House, but America’s White House. It belongs to the people who pay the tax dollars to support the government, including care of the building designated as each president’s residence during their time in office. It belongs to the same people who were paying the Pretender’s salary, and millions of dollars in other perks that taxpayers should not be dunned for, including million-dollar vacations for the president and his family,⁴ and more than three hundred rounds of golf for the Pretender to the throne.⁵ Barack and Michelle Obama made it abundantly clear that they despise America and Christianity, both good traits if you are a Democrat, but not desirable characteristics for one purporting to serve the people of this nation.
Ideologies are sometimes notions that have a positive impact on societies, including the whole world. Democracy is still a good idea, although Obama, the Clintons, Bernie Sanders, and others, such as the newest windbag in Washington, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, seem bent on destroying the greatest democracy in the history of the world. However, some ideologies are just the opposite of good; they are dangerous to every human on earth. Millions of deaths occurred in both China and the Soviet Union on the heels of the implementation of totalitarian rule.⁶ Pol Pot, a communist, murdered more than one million of his own citizens in his diminutive, little corner of the world, Cambodia.⁷
But on the night of September 11, 2012, Obama’s venomous hatred of Christianity, and his subversive ideology, led to the needless deaths of Christopher Stevens, ambassador to Libya, Sean Smith, Information Management Officer in the embassy, and Tyrone Woods, and Glen Doherty, both former Navy Seals turned GRS operatives. Additionally, ten others were wounded in the attack that, in the estimation of officials back at the State Department in Washington, was not an attack. The Obama administration has kept the chain of events, especially communications with the CIA chief in charge of the contract defense teams in Benghazi, as obscure as possible, attempting to insulate the usurper from allegations that his misguided and misplaced policies, especially his ideological mollycoddling of Islam, had nothing to do with the disaster.
Once the attackers had infiltrated the embassy compound, a call immediately went out to the agents at the annex, only one mile away. The agents, who could easily hear gunfire from that close range, were keenly aware that the ruckus was, indeed, an attack, not a demonstration.
Both the phone call and the sounds of discharging weapons were enough evidence to convince them, and within minutes they were armed, equipped, and ready to roll.⁸
But the proverbial gate was closed by ideological chuckleheads in Washington, D. C.who could better ascertain what was really happening from thousands of miles away than those men on the ground in Benghazi could from only one mile away. The CIA station chief on the phone to the state department had told the GRS operatives in the Annex to stand down, seemingly for appearances’ sake as we now know. The United States, especially under the direction of Barack Obama, the Pretender to the throne, could not appear to be involved in a scrapping gunfight with Islamic forces. Instead, the expectation was that the 17 February Militia, a force of armed Muslims who were supposed to be part of the embassy guard contingency along with the Blue Mountain Libyan Guard, was to fend off the attackers.⁹ Muslims versus Muslims would ensure that Obama could maintain his smug notion that he possessed a lofty stature among leaders of the Muslim world, so he and the state department continued to insist there was no attack, a charade that would be repeated dozens of times over the course of the succeeding months. Although Democrats prefer to think of the Benghazi debacle as a dead issue today, therefore it is no longer discussed by the leftist press, Obama, to this day, has never admitted that the assaults on the embassy compound and the annex in Benghazi were both planned.
There was a problem with the 17 February Militia and other Libyans in the Diplomatic Compound: they could not be trusted. As the ambassador’s entourage was gathering in the compound, somebody, as stated earlier the most likely culprit a member of the Libyan contingency, had conveniently left the pedestrian gate unlatched at the front entrance to the compound. As the attackers rushed through the open gate, most of the 17 February Militia and the Blue Mountain Guards fled through a field of olive vineyards to a grove of guava and palm trees situated at the rear of the compound and slithered through the back gate never to be seen or heard from again. A few of the 17 February militia did remain behind to assist in defending the compound.¹⁰
More than twenty minutes elapsed from the time the GRS operatives were ready to roll before they simply seized the initiative, choosing to believe that lives were truly in danger and to ignore the misguided decision-makers in Washington and headed for the compound.¹¹ At that point all they could accomplish was to stave off total disaster. Had they moved out when ready, Ambassador Stevens and Sean Smith would probably have lived. The rest of the night was a hell that most certainly none of the men and women in either compound will ever forget. The GRS agents managed to evacuate the embassy compound, and then set up defensive positions back at the Annex from which they successfully repulsed several attacks during the darkest hours of the night, although two more men lost their lives in the series of assaults.¹²
The best that Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State, could do was issue a tongue-in-cheek acceptance of state department mistakes in her memoir published two years after the attack. But while seeming to accept some blame, she condemned all who demanded a full accounting of the catastrophe. Her words were intended to abate the criticism of herself and the commander-in-chief, almost to the point that while accepting minimal responsibility she was standing behind all of the erroneous decisions that were made that fateful night. An apology was beneath the lofty opinion Secretary Clinton had of herself.¹³
So many questions remain unanswered, but the Pretender and Hillary Clinton are never going to tell Americans the truth, nor will either of them fully accept responsibility for the lost lives.
One fundamental question that requires an answer, and will lead to other questions, is why did the state department, totally ignoring the intelligence of the men in the annex in Benghazi, keep insisting that there was not an attack, that it was simply a demonstration, an angry response to some viral post on Facebook? The men charged with protecting the ambassador and his retinue clearly understood the nature of the situation. They were men who knew the sound of weapons fire and were clearly hearing the cacophony from only one mile distant. The CIA station chief who was communicating with the state department had obviously heard the word attack
from the person who had called from the Special Mission Compound. There was no mistaken notion from him, or the others, that it was, indeed, an assault of a serious nature. All of them could distinguish the glow from the flames beginning to lap at the night sky as several buildings at the embassy were put to the torch. Ambassador Stevens and Sean Smith died of smoke inhalation and exposure to excessive heat while the GRS team waited for orders to move out from less than two minutes away.¹⁴
Why was it so important to Obama, and to Clinton, that we do nothing to upset the Islamic world while Muslims were busy murdering the ambassador? Did either of them seriously believe the U.S. had something to gain by kowtowing to Islam? Or is it possible that one or both of them had something personal to gain, and to hell with the United States and the ambassador to Libya? Why did Obama, and by extension, Clinton, turn their backs on our only true ally in the Middle East, Israel, on other occasions? Were they being driven by blind ideology? Or were they trying to protect some long-range goal of the Democrat Party?
One fact remains; neither of them wants Americans to know the truth about what really transpired that horrible night in Benghazi. Both want us to believe that this enemy religion, Islam, is no threat to the world when, in fact, they have been a major threat to world peace since the religion was born in the AD 600s, and their ancestors before them in the Arabic and Persian states had always been antagonistic toward Christianity and Judaism. Indeed, even the various branches of Islam can find no peace and love for one another, a circumstance that is historically a product of their cultural heritage.
Who starts a long chain of sordid events is always difficult to ascertain, especially when the enmity spans one or more millennia. Not even from a careful study of history can one always determine the first perpetrator of a hostile act. But Democrats, especially the elite statists like Obama, the Clintons, Joe Biden, and Nancy Pelosi have been fervently distorting history for decades to skew the truth about Islam or make the truth so murky that nobody understands it. Why? What is their ulterior motive?
This work will briefly explore the truth about the violent history of the Middle East (Southwest Asia), and how they came to scorn the entire world, and even one another. The fundamental detestation of all things different had been ingrained in them through thousands of years of slaughter and conquest prior to Islam, but it took the birth of the religion to add some degree of legitimacy to the dastardly deeds of people of Arabic, Persian and Turkish descent. All who adhere to Islam were the consummate racists long before the term was used extensively. Among themselves, and somewhat like Christian Europe for hundreds of years, Muslims cannot discover peace. Shi’ite must kill Sunni and vice versa. But both branches of Islam must kill all Christians, Jews, Hindus, and Buddhists, and those of any other religion as well as those without religious convictions. Islam will not rest until all but Islam has perished.
Meanwhile, on American college and university campuses, social studies professors in increasingly alarming numbers are espousing the notion that there is no god, anyway. Or, maybe they mean there is no god but Allah? Which one is it? Is there a god, or is there no god? Out of one side of their mouths, they deny Christians the right to recognize God, utilizing erroneous interpretations of historical events, while out of the other side of their mouths they acknowledge that Muslims have the right to profess a belief in their god, Allah. Why do these humanities professors, as do politicians such as Obama, choose to support Islam even as their jihadists continue to slaughter innocent persons all over the earth? Christians do not strap bombs to their waists and detonate them in venues crowded with unarmed civilians because Jesus never asked them to do such a hideous thing.
Why did voters in one congressional district in Minnesota elect Ilhan Omar, clearly a supporter of sharia law, in direct violation of the Constitution of the United States, to the House of Representatives? There is no sharia law in the Constitution. She even refuses to recognize the obvious fact that it was Muslims who hijacked four airplanes on September 11, 2001, and used them to murder 3,000 people, none of which threatened Islam.¹⁵
All the recent events are rooted in Middle Eastern hatred, Middle Eastern thirst for killing, Middle Eastern hunger for power and control, and Middle Eastern desires to dominate the world. As we will see, it was embedded in Middle Eastern culture since the dawn of recorded history. But far too many Americans are now lending credence and support to this culturally destructive and dysfunctional power, which is a most disturbing trend in political thought.
Chapter 2
Ascendancy of Evil
World history and its thousands of events do not exist in a vacuum. The multitude of wars that have been fought by small armies or massive legions can only be explained by examining an interconnected series of events often spanning centuries. Islam has roots that are steeped in the mindset of Middle Eastern ideologies that even predate the birth of the religion. In the 20thcentury the doctrines espoused by radical Muslims were nothing less than centuries of cultivated hatred and the desire for bloodshed on a grand scale, and near the end of the century and into the 21st, often aided and abetted by left-wing American ideologues who remain blind to the truth.
Several thousand years before the seeds of Islamic vitriol were sown on the Arabian Peninsula, the societies of the Middle East (Southwest Asia) were already in the habit of forcing conquest, rape, and plunder on their nearest neighbors. Early settlers of Egypt dismayingly referred to civilizations beyond the Red Sea as throat slitters,
and described them as wild and uncivilized,
¹ telling descriptions of the violent nature of the ancestors of the Islamic people.
Regional dominance, power, and wealth were the driving forces behind a long series of wars fought among the varied peoples of the Middle East, thus creating discord in Southwest Asia for much of four thousand years. The ancient Akkadian kings seemed to have constantly warred with one faction or another for control of more territory and for the rights to water in those
