Parish Church of St. James, Longborough, Glos
Parish Church of St. James, Longborough, Glos
This historic church dates from Norman times with many alterations and additions over the centuries. There was, as so often, a restoration in late Victorian times. The one here was carried out by J.E.K. Cutts. Unfortunately in the process what is known as the Sezincote Chapel had its interior walls scraped, thus removing any traces of early decoration. The church was at one time from 1326 under the control of the Abbot of Hailes. The church is Grade I listed.
