Each book can be read on its own and will have its own unique and powerful feel. However, I believe the two books together will create a more complete and profound message of inspiration, wisdom and strength. My first memoir offers a tremendous message of perseverance and hope. My second memoir will offer a tremendous message of recovery and resolution.(less)

Hi Debbie,

Thank you so much for reaching out to me with your question. I commend you for your courage in bringing up this concern with me. I spent the majority of my life stubbornly believing I could handle life all on my own and that I also had to fix everything on my own. Like you, I felt so poorly about myself that, I too, believed I did not deserve help.

However, after my extensive personal experiences, I can tell you with the utmost confidence that asking for help is the best choice and most deserving thing you could possibly do for yourself. Knowing what I know now, the number one thing I would have done differently in my life is to have reached out and asked for help sooner. Try your best to reframe your thinking because asking for help is a great sign of strength and it will get you much further in your life.

And remember that your mind may try to play tricks on you and make you falsely believe that you don't need help or don't deserve it. That is all nonsense though. Everyone has a right to live a happy and healthy life and if something is preventing you from doing so, you deserve help. End of story.

You have already shown me such great bravery. Now it's time for you to believe in yourself and go find the extra support you need so that you too can know what it feels like to live a life of freedom. I am sending you all my love and believe in you with all my heart. (less)

HuffPost – Ozempic and Eating Disorders

I am grateful to be quoted in this HuffPost article and to contribute to this important conversation regarding Ozempic. Individuals with eating disorders should be especially wary of this drug and its potential dangers.

Drug[s] like this clearly do not treat the root cause of eating disorders. Instead, it places a temporary bandage on internal woes until it no longer works, resulting in a recip

“It's the days you have every right to breakdown and fall apart, yet choose to show up anyway that matter most. Don't diminish the small steps that others can't see.”
Brittany Burgunder

“Take a chance. Don’t fear change. Life won’t hand you your dreams. Every time a door closes or you let go of something, you will find that there is room for new possibilities to enter. You aren’t saying goodbye. You are saying hello.”

“If only you knew how beautiful you are unconditionally. Don't you know it's enough if all you do is breathe?”

“It's amazing how much power a smile holds. It's contagious and brightens people's day. It's also the most powerful camouflage. For that person who seems to have it all together is merely masking the pain of drowning tears. Don't be so quick to assume.”
