- Twin sister of Gloria Brewster.
- The twins appeared as Fox models and toured with The Three Stooges in Fox promotions. Barbara later entertained troops in the South Pacific with WWII USO tours.
- Retired in 1946 following marriage to radio/TV announcer Bob LeMond. He later became the announcer of Lucille Ball's first radio sitcom "My Favorite Husband." They had three sons: Robin, Stephen and Barry LeMond.
- In Twincuplets (1940), a 1940 short comedy, the sisters were featured with another set of twins, Claude Stroud and Clarence Stroud. A romance developed between Gloria Brewster and Claude Stroud. Their subsequent marriage ended the girls' film career.
- Barbara and her sister, who died in 1996, were billed as "the Most Beautiful Twins in America," while they were contracted to 20th Century Fox in the late 30s. They were initially discovered by a Fox talent agent while visiting the San Diego County Fair.
