In 1947 the UMass Amherst School of Business Administration opened its doors. The school had just 10 faculty members. By 1949, the first 15 students graduated with their bachelor’s degrees and by 1953, the school awarded its first MBA degrees, marking the beginning of the legacy to admit top-tier students and continually evolve to meet the needs of the ever-changing business world.
