1–4 September 2024 The 36th EUROSENSORS Conference

Debrecen, Hungary

Dear Colleagues,

Eurosensors is a series of highly successful conferences that began in Cambridge in 1987 and that has been the only European forum to cover the entire field of Sensors, Actuators, Microsystems and Nanosystems. It is the leading European conference devoted to the advancement of high technologies in the aforementioned fields, providing an excellent opportunity to bring together scientists and engineers from academia, research centres, national research institutes and companies to present and discuss the latest results in these fields.

For more than 35 years, the EUROSENSORS Conference has been the largest European forum for scientists and engineers from academia, research institutes and companies, and especially for students to present and discuss the latest trends and results in Sensors, Actuators, Micro- and Nanosystems. Eurosensors attracts more than 500 participants every year, mainly from Europe but also from abroad.

Organisers

The 36th EUROSENSORS conference is organised by the University of Debrecen (UD), Faculty of Science and Technology and the Centre for Energy Research (CER), Institute for Technical Physics and Materials Science (CER MFA) at the campus of UD in Debrecen, Hungary. The event is supported by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

On behalf of the organisers, we look forward welcoming you in Debrecen!

11–14 May 2025 World Conference on GOLD 2025

San Sebastian, Spain

Following the success of the previous tri-annual GOLD conferences on the applications of gold in high-technology (Québec 2022; Paris 2018; Cardiff 2015), the GOLD 2025 conference (10th) will be held on May 11–14, 2025, in San Sebastian, Spain. The event will take place at the Kursaal Convention Center, a splendid venue by the seaside.

Gold has generated commercial, technological and scientific interest for centuries and this interest is far from declining. On the contrary, gold is an essential component of high-technology materials and the subject of intensive research in various fields. We aim at attracting experts in different fields, from catalysis, biomedicine, organometallics, nanoparticle synthesis and characterization, plasmonics, optics and photonics, and electronics, as well as precious metals purification and recycling. Particular emphasis will be put on the chemistry and physics around much of the current technological interest, including catalysis, nanophotonics, and biomedical applications.

At GOLD 2025, prominent specialists from these different topics will gather and lead the discussion of the most recent highlights and achievements within their fields. The conference will provide a comprehensive overview of the different areas of gold science and technology in a lively atmosphere and a unique environment.
