Nesrine Abdel-Sattar is an OII DPhil alumna. She has interests in online news, news convergence, media effects, and reception of online news.

Abdul Abdulrahim

Former MSc Student

Abdul is an MSc Social Data Science alumnus. He trained as a lawyer with experience in privacy and intellectual property. He holds a BSc in Philosophy and is interested in the use of data science to understand complex social systems.

Hal Abelson

Hal Abelson is a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT. Abelson has a broad interest in information technology and policy, and a longstanding interest in using computation as a conceptual framework in teaching.

Michelle Abigan

Michelle is an MSc student in Social Data Science. She holds a BSc in Economics and Business Analytics. Prior to her postgraduate studies, she gained experiences in online marketplaces and consulting.

Abdallah AbuHashem

Prior to OII, Abdallah obtained a BS and MSc in computer science from Stanford University. He completed an MSc in Social Science of the Internet with an interest in Educational Technology.

Robert Ackland is a Fellow at the Australian National University (ANU). He has interests in the development of new methods (and associated e-Research tools) for quantitative analysis of social and economic phenomena on the Internet.

Publio Adrianza Cerqueira

Born in Caracas, Publio graduated from Stanford University with a B.S.H. in Science, Technology and Society. Publio is interested in the implementation, operation, and impact of the online gig economy.

Sabrina Ahmad holds a B.A. in Communications and Sociology from the University of Ottawa. Fluent in English, French and Bengali, she has worked in e-communications for the Government of Canada and in marketing and research roles across Europe.

Zo was an MSc. Social Data Science student with an interest in AI-driven political influence and political life on social media platforms. He previously worked as a Data Specialist at Twitter, and in the AI Policy team at Google.
