Awesomesauce! Overleaf won!!
Great news! Overleaf has been chosen as a 2016 Red Herring Top 100 Europe Winner! We’re thrilled with the honor – it’s a prestigious award honoring the year’s most promising private technology ventures from the European business region.
As noted in our last blog post about the award, we were evaluated on 20 main quantitative and qualitative criterion: they included disruptive impact, market footprint, proof of concept, financial performance, technology innovation, social value, quality of management, execution of strategy, and integration into our industry. We were then invited to present our business strategy at the Red Herring Europe Forum in Amsterdam on April 11-13, 2016. Apparently, the presentation went exceedingly well - because we WON!
The winners were announced at their special awards ceremony on the evening of April 13, where Overleaf CTO and Co-Founder, John Lees-Miller, was happy to accept.
“In 2016, selecting the top achievers was by no means a small feat,” said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring.
“In fact, we had the toughest time in years because so many entrepreneurs had crossed significant milestones so early. But after much thought, rigorous contemplation and discussion, we narrowed our list down from hundreds of candidates from across Europe to the Top 100 Winners. We believe Overleaf embodies the vision, drive and innovation that define a successful entrepreneurial venture. Overleaf should be proud of its accomplishment, as the competition was very strong.”The finalists included an incredible list of innovative organizations – we really are honored to have been selected! Another wonderful feather in the Overleaf cap! You can read the official press release from Red Herring about the winners here.
