Guccihighwaters

Alternative R&B singer/producer Morgan Murphy (aka Guccihighwaters) came up through the cloud rap scene, where his blend of emo, hip-hop, and R&B flourished. Murphy moved from Long Island to Ireland at the age of five, before moving back again at 15. This sense of displacement, and his inherent introversion, caused him to take up bedroom production. He originally began uploading beats under the name Notmorgan, adding vocals to later tracks and changing his name to Guccihighwaters. He self-released his early work culminating in a mini-album, post death, in 2017. Having gained an online following, labels started to take notice, leading to Epitaph reaching out and signing him in 2019. His debut album, jokes on you, arrived in 2021.
