Meekz

Manchester rapper Meekz rapidly proved his mettle as "one to watch" in the late-2010s and early-2020s U.K. scene, demonstrating his singular style on anthems like "6 Figures" and "Can't Stop Won't Stop." Born and raised in Gorton, Manchester, British rapper Meekz grew up on the sounds of classic hip-hop, listening to artists like Master P and Soulja Slim while honing his skills on the mike. Known among his friends for his rap talent, Meekz turned to the music game in 2018, showing early potential on singles like "Trxppish" and "Take Losses!!" His first major turn in the spotlight came at the hands of two freestyle spots: the rapper appeared on U.K. platform Scene Smasher in December 2018, and Hoods Hottest the following January. Both placements offered listeners a crystal-clear portfolio of Meekz's unique talent, demonstrating his gritty vocals and extensive range of flows. During 2019, he began to develop his catalog: March brought a drill-adjacent single "T House," October saw the release of lyrically driven "Rap Aside," and December's "6 Figures" added a mellow edge to the rapper's sound. After kicking off 2020 with a run of singles including "Year of the Real" and "Big Bag," Meekz found his biggest hits thus far with "Can't Stop Won't Stop" and "Like Me," explosive musical testaments to the rapper's determination. His debut EP of the same name arrived that June, pulling together new material and some of the rapper's biggest hits thus far.
