Don Miguelo

In the world of reggaeton, Puerto Rico is mecca. The best-known artists, most popular producers, and most powerful labels call P.R. home. But as the genre spreads in popularity, it also spreads in influence. Don Miguelo, a rising MC from the Dominican Republic, puts his own spin on the urban-meets-tropical style. Making a name for himself with his first hit single, "Ay Que to Quiere," better known as "La Cola de Motora," Don Miguelo won the attention of reggaeton fans and the industry alike. Like most hitmakers in the style, Miguelo was a newcomer, a novice when he hit pay dirt with a popular single and a record deal. Miguelo's first release, Contra el Tiempo features guest spots from fellow Dominican recording artists as Monchy & Alexandra, Rafy Mercenario, and Frank Reyes. In hopes to improve staying power, Miguelo relocated in the U.S.
