Underworld

Underworld werd een van de meest doorslaggevende elektronische formaties van de jaren 1990, door een intrigerende synthese van oud en nieuw. De frontlinie van het trio, zanger Karl Hyde en gitarist Rick Smith, werkten al samen sinds de uitbarsting van de new wave in de vroege jaren 80. In de late jaren 80 gaf het duo als Underworld twee albums uit zonder succes. Vervolgens vonden ze het ontbrekende ingrediënt voor hun succesrecept en trokken ze de jonge dj Darren Emerson aan. Het trio begon aan een succesvolle muziekcarrière.
