Each Other

Formed in Halifax in 2011, the quirky indie pop trio Each Other was made up of former members of arty pop bands Long Long Long and York Redoubt, namely guitarist/vocalists Michael Wright and Brad Loughead, and drummer/vocalist Christian Simmons. Their high-pitched harmonies and ever-changing song structures resulted in tunes somewhere between the Beach Boys' summery bliss and the off-kilter pop of contemporaries like Deerhoof or Of Montreal. The band self-released several EPs and internet-only collections before moving to Montreal and working on a debut full-length in their analog home studio. The album, Being Elastic, surfaced in early 2014 on Fat Possum sub-label Lefse Recordings.
