The Bleachers
The Las Vegas-based indie rock band the Bleachers had their beginning when guitarists Joe Maloney and Marco Brizuela met and became friends in 1999. In 2002, they formed the Bleachers as a duo and played in that format through 2003. During this period, they recorded a self-titled acoustic EP, released in 2002. At the end of 2003, the band doubled in size with the addition of multi-instrumentalist Kirk Petersen and drummer David Hines. Petersen departed in the summer of 2004, and the Bleachers continued as a trio. During the next year, they worked on their debut full-length album, Suspicion, which was released nationally on their own Village Industries label on June 27, 2006.
