Cale Dodds

A country-pop singer who displays a smooth, easy touch, a fondness for light R&B flair, and a knack for sweetening the swagger of bro country, Cale Dodds first gained attention as a performing artist late in the 2010s. After making his major label debut in 2017 with "All Over," Dodds continued to emphasize his sunny melodic side, an aspect that came to the surface on such independent singles as 2022's "Livin' That Good Life" and 2024's "Never No." Prior to launching a recording career, Dodds worked as a Nashville songwriter. A native of Columbus, Georgia, he moved to Nashville in 2011 after attending Columbus State University. As a professional songwriter, his most notable song was "Drunk Dial," which was recorded by A Thousand Horses in 2015; after it made 23 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart, Dodds signed a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell. A year before "Drunk Dial," Dodds self-released his debut EP, Wild and Reckless. In 2016, he released a second EP called People Watching. The following year, Dodds signed with Warner Nashville, which released the singles "All Over" and "Out of My System" that year, followed by "Take You Back," "What We Gonna Do About It," and "Where I Get It From" in 2018. After releasing "I Like Where This Is Going" -- a song co-written with busbee and Nicolle Gaylon -- Dodds parted ways with Warner Nashville. Dodds resurfaced in 2021, releasing "You Shouldn't Have" and "Doin' It Right," then teaming with the Boat Boys on "Current Situation." The sunny "Livin' That Good Life" arrived in 2022, followed by "Live for Days" in 2023. Dodds self-released "Never No" in May 2024.
