Dylan Hyde
California singer/songwriter Dylan Hyde performs pop influenced by the vocal styles of '90s R&B groups like Boyz II Men and singers like John Legend, Harry Connick, Jr., and Billy Joel. Congenital health issues resulted in the loss of hearing in both his ears. Subsequent surgeries could only fix his right ear, while his left remained permanently impaired. These setbacks didn't stop him from pursuing music, as he had a natural inclination toward singing and dancing, fostered by his great-grandmother, mother, and grandfather, who performed in Las Vegas. A self-taught pianist and guitarist, Hyde began songwriting in his bedroom and practicing with friends. In the beginning, he would post his cover songs on social media. His versions of hits by Justin Bieber, Sam Smith, Miguel, and Jason Derulo attracted a modest fan base. He was briefly signed with Universal Motown in 2013 for the release of his debut EP, XO. However, he would update his sound toward a more pop-leaning direction for 2015's "Sick of Your Love," which was more Bieber than Bublé. In 2017, Hyde released the island-inspired "Clearly."
