Isoxo
San Diego's ISOxo produces an exhilarating blend of several forms of bass music, including trap, dubstep, electro-house, and wave. He began releasing his epic, thrill-packed songs around 2017, and issued his debut EP, Nightrealm, in 2021, gaining support from Skrillex and Alison Wonderland, among others. Niteharts, a remix set with longtime collaborator Knock2, appeared in 2022, and ISOxo's debut full-length, kidsgonemad!, arrived in 2023. Deluxe version KGM(irl)* followed in 2024, as well as 4EVR, another Knock2 collaboration (as ISOKNOCK).
ISOxo (Julian Isorena) first gained notice for "ID," a collaboration with Germany's Skan and France's Fang the Great that saw release in 2017. His buzzy, blown-out version of trap began making waves in the EDM scene, and he released popular collaborations with Knock2 and RL Grime (the massive 2021 single "Stinger"). Grime's Sable Valley imprint released ISOxo's debut EP, Nightrealm. 2022 brought singles like "REDloop" and "Angels Landing" (with FrostTop), as well as Niteharts, in which ISOxo and Knock2 remixed each other's tracks. Isorena and hybrid trap master G Jones collaborated for the chaotic single "Say What." ISOxo explored techno, jungle, and rage influences on kidsgonemad!, his 2023 debut album, which included appearances by fussy, Wavedash, and Ninajirachi. 4EVR, ISOxo's first effort with Knock2 under the name ISOKNOCK, appeared in 2024, with RL Grime guesting on the single "Smack Talk." ISOxo then issued KGM(irl)*, a companion release to kidsgonemad! featuring demos, remixes, and previously unreleased material.
