Roman Lob
Singer Roman Lob was born on July 2, 1990, in Düsseldorf, Germany. Best known for representing Germany at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, Lob was first noticed when he appeared as a contestant in the 2007 season of the casting show Deutschland Sucht den Superstar. However, he had to drop out of the show due to a vocal cord infection. In 2012, Lob won the casting show Unser Star für Baku with a performance of "Standing Still" (a song co-written by Jamie Cullum) and was therefore selected to appear at the Eurovision Song Contest, where he made eighth place. The song was released as a single, which reached number three on the German singles charts, followed by Lob's debut album, Changes, which entered the charts at number nine.
