Dwayne Bravo
A former captain of the West Indies cricket team, Dwayne Bravo (born on October 7, 1983 in Santa Cruz, Trinidad and Tobago) made the leap from the cricket field to the recording studio in 2016 with his debut single, "Champion." The dancehall smash went viral following the West Indies win in the 2016 World T20 and features a roll-call of some of the cricketer's personal heroes, including reggae and dancehall star Beenie Man and legendary cricketer Brian Lara. The track became a hit in India and paved the way for Dwayne Bravo's Bollywood debut that year, where he sang the energy-fueled “Jager bomb” for director Anubhav Sinha’s Tum Bin 2 movie. In 2018, he released another cricket-themed new track, "Run D World" with fellow Trinidadian Jojo. The following year, Dwayne Bravo re-recorded "Champion" after joining the Chennai Super Kings, retitling the track "Champion (Chennai Super Kings)." In October 2018, Dwayne Bravo announced he was retiring from international cricket but the following December came out of retirement in preparation for the 2020 T20 World Cup.
