Zombie Juice

One-third of Brooklyn rap trio Flatbush Zombies, MC Zombie Juice rose to fame with the group during the 2010s, delivering sharp verses within their hallucinogenic-inspired style. In 2023, he made his solo debut with the bright, self-focused LP Love Without Conditions. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Antonio Lewis entered the rap game with grade school friends Demetri Simms and Erick Elliott, using the aliases Zombie Juice (Lewis), Meechy Darko (Simms), and Erick the Architect (Elliott) to form the rap trio Flatbush Zombies. Taking their name from the Flatbush neighborhood in which they grew up, the trio began releasing material during the early 2010s, finding underground popularity with their early-2010s mixtapes D.R.U.G.S. and BetterOffDEAD. The group's psychedelic style, slick back-to-back verses, and drug-centric lyrics soon found a fierce fan base in the underground, and they began a transition to the mainstream with their 2016 debut album 3001: A Laced Odyssey. As a more staccato, caustic counterpart to the rumbling Meechy and smooth Erick, Juice's vocals gave the songs a rapid energy and a razor-sharp edge, which he applied further on his second studio album, Vacation in Hell (2018) and the collaborative LP Escape from New York (2019). After the 2020 EP Now, More Than Ever, the group went on semi-hiatus while each of the members focused on solo work. Juice's solo run began with a series of singles, including the woozy "Alto," the jazzy "Hikari," and the whomping "Dizzy." In 2023, he finally issued his debut solo LP, Love Without Conditions, a ten-track set with a notably open-air feel.
