Earthside

New Haven, Connecticut's Earthside are a progressive metal quartet whose rich, sonic world-building is achieved with both technical and emotional acumen. Comprised of multi-instrumentalist Jamie Van Dyck, drummer Ben Shanbrom, multi-instrumentalist Frank Sacramone, and bassist Ryan Griffin, the group released their debut album, A Dream in Static, in 2015. The LP, which featured guest performances from Lajon Witherspoon of Sevendust, Björn Strid of Soilwork, Daniel Tompkins of TesseracT, and Eric Zirlinger of Face the King, achieved cult status in the prog-metal community. Earthside spent the next several years working on their sophomore effort, immersed in the process while parsing the passage of time and the COVID-19 pandemic. The first fruit of their labors, the towering instrumental "All We Knew and Ever Loved," appeared in 2021, with the anthemic "We Who Lament" (feat. Keturah) arriving in 2022. The epic Let the Truth Speak, which featured contributions from Daniel Tompkins, Baard Kolstad, AJ Channer, Larry Braggs, and Pritam Adhikary, was released the following year.
