Pat Barrett

A Dove Award-winning singer/songwriter and worship leader at Grace Midtown in Atlanta, Georgia, Pat Barrett was first the primary songwriter and vocalist for popular Christian rock ensemble Housefires before striking out solo. After leaving the group in 2018, Barrett broke new ground commercially with Billboard-charting albums like 2021's Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly and 2023's Shelter. He also released a duets album, Happily Hidden, in 2024. Barrett was a founding member of Housefires, who formed in 2014. The band released five live albums and found success with the Matt Reynolds and Barrett-penned single "Good Good Father," which soared to the top of the CCM charts in 2015 when Chris Tomlin recorded his own version of the song. In 2018, Barrett became the flagship artist for Tomlin's Capitol Christian Music Group imprint, Bowyer & Bow, and released his eponymous debut album, which featured collaborations with Steffany Gretzinger and Amanda Cook. The live album Canvas and Clay followed the next year, and in 2021, Barrett's third long-player (and second studio set), Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly, was released. The album reached the number 11 slot on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart in the Religious category. A live EP, Nothing/Something, appeared later that year. In 2022, Barrett was featured in Elevation Worship's "This Is the Kingdom," which reached number 27 on the Hot Christian Songs chart, and in 2023, he released his third studio long-player, Shelter, which focused on themes of gratitude, compassion, and finding joy in dark times. Barrett's next collection was a set of duets that saw him singing with a different partner on each song. Released in July 2024, Happily Hidden featured collaborations with Kari Jobe, John Mark McMillan, Cecily, and others.
