Pia Mia

Growing up a fan of Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, and Michael Jackson, American singer, songwriter, and model Pia Mia found it natural to mix pop, R&B, and hip-hop. Debuting in 2013 with The Gift EP, she scored her first international hit in 2015 with "Do It Again," a platinum-certified collaboration with Chris Brown and Tyga. Born Pia Mia Perez in Guam, she launched her career by uploading videos to sharing sites, earning over 17 million views and the attention of Chris Brown's manager Abou Thaim. Thaim brought in producer Nic Nac for a 2013 cover version of Drake's "Hold On, We're Going Home." It helped when social media lit up over an a cappella version of the song -- performed at a dinner in the Kardashian household with Kanye West in attendance -- which was posted by Kim later in the year. The song landed on Mia's debut EP, The Gift, which was released by the Interscope label in late 2013. In 2015, she dropped both the "F**k with U" single featuring G-Eazy, plus "Do It Again" with Chris Brown and Tyga. The latter became an international hit, earning platinum certification in the U.S., Australia, U.K., and New Zealand. Further singles were issued in the following years, with the U.K./Australia Top 50 hit "Touch" and "I'm a Fan" featuring Jeremih, bringing her into 2017. That same year, she issued The Gift II. At the end of the decade, Mia made her acting debut in the romantic comedy film After, which also featured her song "Bitter Love." More singles followed that year, including "Crybaby" featuring Theron Theron, "Feel Up" with YG, and "Don't Get Me Started" with Gunna and Carnage. She opened the 2020s with the Chris Brown-sampling "Princess."
