Kamillion

Delivering R&B vocals and Southern-styled rhymes, versatile Florida rapper and singer/songwriter Kamillion made her way from the studio to the spotlight with anthems focused on sex positivity and female empowerment. Emerging in the early 2010s, she helped pen tunes for artists such as Diddy, Rick Ross, Trey Songz, and Rihanna before pursuing her own solo career, which included such singles as her debut, 2013's Future-assisted "Mr. Moneybags," and her viral 2017 track "I Heart Banana." Originally performing as Alja Kamillion, the northside Jacksonville-bred artist made her initial inroads in the industry in the early 2010s, but would soon step away to realign and follow her own creative vision. She flexed her songwriting skills with high-profile acts such as Diddy Dirty Money, Trey Songz, Jordin Sparks, and Rihanna before returning to her solo pursuits in 2013. In addition to being featured on Donell Jones' "Closer I Get to You," she issued her official debut single, "Mr. Moneybags," with Future and the IAMNOTARAPPER mixtape, followed by 2014's "Blowed." She continued releasing singles into 2017, including "Drippy Sauce," "Beep Beep" with Mista Mo, "Lil Bih," "Got Real," and the cheeky anthem "I Heart Banana." The latter track, produced by Bangladesh, was a viral favorite and helped increase her exposure. The next year, she issued the home-state anthem "Florida Lit," which was followed by 2019's bounce-flavored "Bend Yo Byke."
