Noriel

Noel Santos Román (aka Noriel) is a charting, best-selling, Latin singer primarily associated with trap. His high baritone voice established him at home on early singles and collaborations with Arcángel, Anuel AA, Ñengo Flow, and Bryant Myers, among others. He made the leap to fame in North, Central, and South America in 2016 thanks to his participation on Maluma's "Cuatro Babys." That song and other successful singles such as "Diablita" would be compiled in Trap Capos: Season 1, a full-length collection issued in 2016 that features Noriel alongside the greatest representatives of Latin trap. Signed by Sony, Noriel released the second volume, Trap Capos II, in April 2018. It charted in five countries and made four charts in the U.S. Over the next six years, he issued dozens of singles and collaborations, including 2021's Cerrando Capítulo EP. In 2024 he released Trap Island, his third album. Noriel was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1994 and began singing in grade school. His musical life was rather circuitous until he met and joined forces with Carlos R. Pedraza Lacen; the pair formed the duo Kenxiel & Noriel. In 2014 they hit the charts with the single "Miedo a Morir" featuring Johnny Stone. Since then, Noriel has become a prolific and nearly ubiquitous collaborator on recordings by his peers including Juhn, Riko, Santana the Golden Boy, Darkiel, Bryant Myers, and dozens of others. In 2016 he began releasing solo digital singles, including "La Llamada" (featuring Brytiago), "Fanatico del Full" (featuring Baby Rasta, Darrel, and Nengo Flow), and his Sony debut (and digital hit) "Diablita" featuring Anuel AA and Baby Rasta. They all charted and most appeared on his debut album, Trap Capos: Season 1, with an army of collaborators that included Farruko, Miky Woodz, and Baby Rasta to name a few. It charted across streaming services and won double platinum industry certification. The following year Noriel returned to releasing singles (nine in 2017 alone) and appearing with others. Among them were the gold-certified "Desperté Sin Ti," the platinum track "Doble Personalidad" featuring Yandel, and its remix, which was certified triple platinum. The full-length, Trap Capos II, followed in 2018 and went Top Ten on the Top Latin Albums chart and soon earned platinum status. Noriel proceeded to tour the U.S., the Caribbean, and Mexico, and recorded singles at a prolific pace even for him. 2019's "Cuerpo en Venta [feat. Almighty, Myke Towers & Rauw Alejandro]" went triple platinum. In May 2024, Noriel issued his third long-player, Trap Island. Still following the mixtape aesthetic of his first two albums, he employed guests on only half of its 14 tracks; these included Brytiago on "Oxes," Ovi, Eladio Carrion, and Jon Z on "Hot Sauce," and Gigolo y La Exce on "Pensadotes."
