The Fratellis

Het alternatieve rocktrio The Fratellis uit Glasgow debuteerde in 2005 door een EP, die naar de band werd vernoemd, in een kleine oplage uit te brengen. Dat album raakte snel uitverkocht, omdat Zane Lowe de single “Creepin Up the Backstairs” vaak draaide in zijn programma op Radio One, en omdat het trio in 2006 mocht optreden in de tv-programma’s ‘Later with Jools Holland’ en ‘Top of the Pops’. Met de tweede single “Henrietta” scoorden The Fratellis hun eerste Britse top twintig-hit. Dat succes werd snel gevolgd door het debuutalbum, Costello Music, uit 2006, dat opviel door zijn retromuziek en de typische Britse humor in de teksten. In 2008 verscheen het tweede album Here We Stand. Na een lange pauze, waarin de bandleden alleen aan eigen projecten werkten, kwamen The Fratellis in 2012 weer bijeen.
