The Prodigy
The Prodigy bewandelde het hoge koord met het vinden van een balans tussen artistieke verdienste en populaire trend met meer flair dan enig andere elektronische act van de negentiger jaren. Ze waren in staat om de imagoloze houding van de meeste elektronische artiesten te verslaan door de focus te versterken op de nominale leadzanger Keith Flint. De groep stapte over naar de mainstream popmuziek met opruiende live-optredens die qua sfeer de Britse rave scene benaderde, maar die erg dicht tegen het propagandistisch arena-rock en het theatrale van punk aanzaten. Voordat de band bekend stond als de belangrijkste dansact voor het alternatieve publiek, stond The Prodigy al regelmatig op de Britse hitlijsten.
