Young Guns

English alternative rock outfit Young Guns formed in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire in 2003. The quintet, which features the talents of vocalist Gustav Wood, bassist Simon Mitchell, drummer Ben Jolliffe, and guitarists John Taylor and Fraser Taylor, turned heads in 2009 with their debut EP Mirrors. The group’s penchant for apocalyptic lyrics and huge, stadium-ready anthems drew comparisons to artists like LostProphets and Taking Back Sunday, and landed them an opening slot for the first night of Bon Jovi's London residency at the O2 Arena. Striking while the iron was hot, the band released their full-length debut, All Our Kings Are Dead, the following year. The group's sophomore outing, Bones, was recorded in Thailand with former Sikth guitarist Dan Weller. Young Guns' third long-player, 2015's Ones and Zeros, was their first release for Virgin EMI, and included the singles "I Want Out" and "Speaking in Tongues." At the beginning of 2016, Jolliffe amicably split from the band before the recording of their fourth studio album. Drafting in replacement Chris Kamrada, the five-piece headed to New Jersey's House of Loud with producer David Bendeth to record the follow-up to Ones and Zeros. Preceded by the singles "Bulletproof" and "Mad World," the album, Echoes, appeared in September of that year.
