Tay Money

With her Southern accent and bold personality, Texas-bred performer Tay Money spits explicit rhymes over trap-influenced production in a style similar to Bhad Bhabie and Iggy Azalea. Rising in the late 2010s, she scored a viral hit with her breakthrough single "Trapper's Delight" in 2018. She released her official debut full-length in 2019 with Hurricane Tay, quickly following with 2020's Blockedt. Born in the small community of Athens, Texas, she moved to Dallas in 2015 to pursue a rap career. Early tracks -- and their accompanying music videos -- such as "Lewis & Clark," "Na Na," and "Moneyway" helped her build an online following, but it wasn't until the release of 2018's "Trapper's Delight" that Tay expanded her audience. That year, she also issued The Lost Tapes compilation and the DUH! EP. Still riding the viral success of "Trapper's Delight" into 2019, she released the tracks "High School" and "Fresh Princess," her spin on the theme from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. That year, she also issued her debut album, Hurricane Tay, which featured guest appearances by DaBaby ("Booty") and YNW Melly ("Left Cheek, Right Cheek"). Her sophomore album, Blockedt, landed in 2020, recruiting Key Glock ("Friendly"), Latto ("Brat"), and Saweetie ("Bussin 2.0"). Further collaborations followed, including 2021's "Asthma Pump" with Flo Milli and 2022's "Hello" with Saucy Santana.
