Luhh Dyl

Luhh Dyl's laid-back, drawling flow may have sound familiar to hip-hop heads, but the tracks he puts his rhymes to -- combining the expected 808s with left-field crate-digger samples -- help set him apart from the pack. He’s one of Detroit’s most promising emcees, earning attention for tracks like “Lalala” and “Ski” and his 2024 mixtape Cart Music. A Motor City native, Dylan Martin was raised by a single mother and found he could rely on hip-hop in times of struggle, freestyling with siblings and friends in high school before securing his own studio time after the death of a beloved cousin. Emerging in 2023 with the indie mixtape The Ticket, he soon generated underground buzz, even recruiting North Carolina up-and-comer Hunxho on his 2024 single “Thank You.” This would be a sign of things to come: his next track, the viral “Lalala,” was his first release on the Warner-distributed 300 Entertainment. “Lalala” and the well-received, quickfire “Go Missin” -- changed from its initial title, “Carlee Russell,” after the viral kidnapping victim of the same name admitted her story was a hoax -- were included on Dyl's Cart Music mixtape; non-album singles including “Ski” and “Penny Pinchin” were also released that year.
