Piso 21

Colombia's Piso 21 are an all-male outfit known for their romantic, R&B-influenced, dance-oriented Latin pop. They emerged to acclaim with their eponymous 2012 debut album, picking up a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. The group reached the Top 20 of the Latin charts with 2018's Ubuntu and scored a Top Five Latin hit alongside Maluma with "Más de la Una," off 2021's El Amor en los Tiempos del Perreo. More high-profile collaborations arrived with 2022's 777, followed by 2023's Los Muchachos and 2024's Top Ten Billboard Latin Pop Albums-charting 2.1. Hailing from Medellín, Piso 21 features the talents of vocalist Pablo Mejía (aka Pablito), vocalist/guitarist Juan David Huertas (aka the Profe), vocalist/guitarist David Escobar (aka Dim), and vocalist Juan David Castaño (aka the LLane). In 2012, they released their full-length debut, Piso 21, which featured the single "Correr el Riesgo." They quickly got attention, earning a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2012 Latin Grammy Awards. More singles followed, including 2014's "Suele Suceder" and 2015's "Quítate la Pena." A year later, the group signed with Warner Music Mexico and in 2018 delivered their sophomore full-length, Ubuntu. Buoyed by the singles "Me Llamas" and "Besándote," the record debuted at number 13 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. In 2019, Piso 21 teamed up with Myke Towers for the single "Una Vida Para Recordar." A year later, they delivered "Dulcecitos" with Zion & Lennox and "Más de la Una" with Maluma, the latter of which hit number three on the Latin Pop charts. All three songs were included on the group's third album, 2021's El Amor en los Tiempos del Perreo, which reached number nine on Billboard's Latin Pop chart. More singles followed, including "Equivocado" with Santa Fe Klan and "Los Cachos" with Manuel Turizo, leading up to the release of their fourth full-length, 2022's 777. Along with the previously released collaborations, the album included guest appearances by Carin Leon, Danny Ocean, Gigolo y la Exce, and Ñejo. The group's fifth album, Los Muchachos, arrived in November 2023. Featured on the release were the singles "Sinceramente" and "Los Cachos" (with Manuel Turizo), the latter of which cracked the Top Five of Billboard's Latin Airplay chart. In October, Piso 21 returned with another full-length, 2.1. Anchored by singles like "Fichaje del Año" featuring Ozuna and "La Misión" featuring Wisin, the album showcased the group's maturing blend of reggaeton, R&B, and pop. It reached number eight on Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart.
