Sotam

Sotam, born Thomaz Matos in São Paulo, is a standout figure in Brazil's new generation of rap artists. He has garnered widespread acclaim with hit singles like "Bola Outro," "Sobe Desce," "De Volta ao Início," and "100%," alongside his well-received projects, including the album Crush and the mixtape Depois das 5. In 2023, his breakout single "3AM (Pxta Rasa)" earned Gold and Platinum certifications, cementing his place on the national scene. Continuing his momentum, Sotam released the collaborative album TRÊS2 in 2024 with Kweller and Enzo Cello, blending melodic vibes and catchy hooks across nine tracks. That same year, he dropped "Seu Gosto," a viral hit inspired by Ferrugem and Sorriso Maroto’s pagode classic "Apaguei pra Todos," adapting its themes to tell a story of emotional ambivalence. The track's popularity exploded on social media, drawing attention from Ferrugem himself and further expanding Sotam’s audience. Para Nunca Nos Tornarmos Estranhos, his third full-length, arrived in October 2024, followed by the single "Sem Pausa" in December of that year.
