Maggie Lindemann

Los Angeles-based singer Maggie Lindemann is known for her dusky, '90s alt-rock- and electronica-influenced pop. She broke through with her 2016 single "Pretty Girl," which went platinum and hit the Top Ten in the U.K., Ireland, Sweden, and Norway. She released her debut EP, Paranoia, in 2021, followed by the full-length Suckerpunch in 2022. Her second EP, Headsplit, arrived in 2024. Born in Dallas, Texas, in 1998, Lindemann first came to the public's attention with videos she posted online and her active presence on various social networks. She released two singles in 2015, "Knocking on Your Heart" and "Couple of Kids," the first of which had a particularly strong placement on digital charts. In 2016, she delivered her third single, "Things," which also garnered attention, landing in the Top 25 on digital charts and racking up over 300,000 views on YouTube. She followed with "Pretty Girl," which became her highest-charting single to date. In 2017, she collaborated on the Vamps' "Personal" and issued another solo single, "Obsessed." A year later, Lindemann returned with the song "Human." Around the same time, she launched her own SWIXXZ clothing line and paired with drummer Travis Barker on the song "Friends Go." It was also in 2019 that she spent five days under house arrest in Malaysia due to confusion over her visa status. The situation was ultimately resolved, and she returned to the United States. In September 2020, she released the yearning, rock-inflected tracks "Knife Under My Pillow" and "Loner," both of which appeared on her 2021 EP Paranoia. Early 2022 saw Lindemann issue a string of singles, including the defiant "You're Not Special," ahead of the arrival of her full-length Suckerpunch, which was released later that September. "Deprecating," with Siiickbrain, and a deluxe edition of Suckerpunch, appeared in 2023. The single "Hostage" was released in 2024 preceding the EP Headsplit.
