Fusing Moroccan rhythms with sleek electronic R&B and pop, Casablanca native Malca has developed a lush sound that straddles both Europe and North Africa. Basing himself in Paris, the young singer first made waves in 2015 with the self-released She Gets Too High EP, combining bright disco elements with low-key electro grooves and earning himself a deal with Berlin label Jakarta Records. His next release, 2017's Casablanca Jungle, added deeper layers to his sound, making cultural nods to his native city balanced with a more nuanced take on modern R&B and left-field pop.
