I see people using cat filters as a cp4 disaster kit. But has anyone run an inline cat filter before the cp4? They filter down to 2 microns. Would help great with longevity of the cp4.
looking at deleting dpf and egr and tuning a 2012 jetta. whats the best kits for that in canada? not worried about mvi or anything like that just looking for any advice on the delete and any other helpful info on the whole process. thanks in advance.
Hey everyone,
I bought my audi about 2 months ago and yesterday while driving the number 6 injector blew out of the hole. Which is pretty crazy to me and I figured it's probably from the previous owner reusing injector hold down bolts. But anyway, I am having a hell of a time finding parts for this car. I need a new hp fuel injector feed pipe, the fuel return hose assy, and the injector o ring and seal. Can anyone help me find parts or point me in the right direction? Thank you!
I think my brother fixed the add blue issue when,
You put Blue Def in the tank it doesn’t register to the car to reset the mileage to go back up
Now it says you have till 100 km till start wouldn’t start
He bought an def exhaust fluid injection part Off Amazon
to replace the the old 1 he bought it to his mechanic to change the part used the scan tool forgot name ,
to reset the add blue & now it’s back up to 1,500 Till can’t start
Can he keep doing this buy a new Def exhaust injection to keep the vehicle going until the jig is done?
Yeah I know he can delete this Touareg but funds are tight right now
How bad is the exhaust odor after DPF and or CAT delete (with the appropriate tune, of course)?
Does it make its way into the cab? Clothes smell? Can you drive with the windows down?
Anyone delete dpf but keep cats in place? Does that help?
I have a mk5 golf 2.0 BKD 140 with 133k miles recently had a stage 1 map always looked after and maintained by previous owner I went to a car meet and was driving it hard then I let my dad drive it it and he drove it even harder redlining it almost every gear and missed the gears a few times after this it has developed a ticking noise that’s increased under acceleration and the turbo now makes a whine / whistle that it didn’t really do before it still boosts I am in belief that the turbo is original and was on its way out and the hard driving has wrecked i am just curious as to if this is the probable issue before looking at buying a new one and getting it fitted would rather diagnose myself then put in for diagnostic as well i also do have access to a freinds VCDS if that could tell anything
Hello members,
I did egr delete on my car due to an issue from the vac line to the egr cooler. And now the vac line is plugged with a metal piece. And egr deleted by software (nms tuning) also blanked it.
Now my car feels sluggish before the boost kicks in at 1800 rpm (bitdi)
Is it possible my engine does not like the egr delete or is it something else wrong. A thought is maybe a bad injector?
Ive also changed the maf sensor to a new one. All helps appreciated.
Does anybody know where I can find the shade part of the sunroof assembly? I have a 2012 sportswagen I can’t find it anywhere. I’m looking for the legitimate piece.
Not a TDI specific question, but it is a TDI.
My 2015 Jetta, mk6.5(right?), is having AC issues. With some research, determined it was likely the control valve in the compressor, that is a common failure point. I ordered a new valve, had a shop evacuate the system, swapped the valve, and had the shop recharge the system. I am now getting good cold air, but it's intermittent. Took it back to the shop to see if A/C charge is good...all seems good. But, as he was trying test the A/C he's noticing that the fans are not kicking on for the a/c. They kick on when the engine calls for it, but not for the a/c. So he's not able to properly check the system but he is able to see that pressures are spiking, likely causing high temps, and the compressor likely shutting down for safety. He said he tried to find the "component operation" for the fans but cannot find it anywhere. Anyone on here that can help with either the "component operation" for the fans? Or help with the diagnosis of the a/c?
He said he can't really test the A/c cause the fans aren't working properly. I could replace the fans, but don't want to do that only to find out, I gotta tear everything down again to replace some A/c components.
Hello all, this is my first post here. I tried finding the answers to my questions on here, but can’t seem to find quite what I’m looking for. I have a 2012 Jetta TDI with the DSG. This car has about 91000 miles on it, and I plan on keeping it forever. My car is completely stock right now. I live in an area where emissions are tested, so I don’t want to delete. I am generally happy with the power my car has in stock form, but of course I’d like some more. So I have been looking into a Kerma Stage 2 with the GSD tune so I don’t need to swap turbos. If at some point down the road if a turbo fails, I’ll deal with that then.
What I’m more curious about is how does the tuning affect the car in general? Aside from more power and better MPG’s, does it have any other benefits such as increased reliability, longevity, etc? I’ve seen it mentioned that the tune changes the way the car regenerates. I would assume that it does a better job than the stock software. Since it does still have all emissions intact, I’m wanting to know if the tune will help keep the internals cleaner since the car doesn’t see highway mileage every day.
Is there any drawbacks the car may have from tuning that I could encounter with just a tune? Can it decrease engine life and reliability?
I guess I’m just wondering if there is benefits to tuning other than just more power and MPG’s, or can it affect the car in a negative way long term?
Thank you for any advice.
Hi! It's my first post here, I will soon order the replacement engine mounts for a golf mk7 tdi 2.0, are the ones in the golf and Audi the same? If not what's the difference? Maybe there are other options in the aftermarket I haven't considered.
I have a PD 150 intake manifold for my ALH TDI it came with the EGR/ ASV attached . I already have the kit to delete the egr cooler. My question is can I still run the intake with the ASV functional and just use blank off plates for the piping?
Thanks !
