Enhancing regulatory capability through a blended delivery learning and development framework: an empirical Australian example

Abstract As the effects of Covid-19 pandemic, Indonesia’s education experienced numerous changes. The previously face-to-face learning activities have been replaced by the online learning that relies on Internet access. Meanwhile, during a learning process, teachers use media to facilitate students learning. Therefore, the implementation of online learning rises the need for learning media in online learning. Mobile learning is invented as a learning media that can be implemented in this situation. It is developed using a number of programing applications, such as Sublime Text, to generate user friendly media. This study developed a Sublime Text based mobile learning application that can be accessed through android smartphones. This media has been confirmed to help teachers deliver learning materials, learning videos, and exercises accessible at anytime and anywhere. This Sublime Text based mobile learning application is called Study Fill. The learning media has been tried out to the students in tenth grade of State Vocational High School 2 Kediri, while the result suggest that the learning media is feasible and valid. Abstrak Pendidikan di Indonesia saat ini mengalami perubahan karena dampak dari pandemi Covid-19. Kegiatan belajar mengajar yang sebelumnya dapat dilakukan secara tatap muka di sekolah, saat ini ditiadakan dan diganti dengan kegiatan pembelajaran secara jarak jauh. Pembelajaran jarak jauh mengandalkan akses internet sebagai sarana pembelajaran. Pada kegiatan belajar mengajar, guru biasanya memanfaatkan media yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu berlangsungnya proses pembelajaran. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, dibutuhkan media pembelajaran yang tepat sehingga dapat membantu guru dalam pembelajaran daring. Mobile learning merupakan salah satu media yang tepat untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Mobile learning dapat dikembangkan dengan menggunakan beberapa aplikasi pemrograman, seperti Sublime Text, sehingga dapat menghasilkan aplikasi yang bersifat user friendly. Hasil penelitian ini berupa Mobile Learning Application berbasis Sublime Text yang dapat diakses melalui smartphone android. berupa Mobile Learning Application berbasis Sublime Text terbukti mempermudah guru membagikan materi, video pembelajaran maupun soal-soal dan peserta didik dapat mengaksesnya dimanapun dan kapanpun. Mobile Learning Application berbasis Sublime Text yang diberi nama StudyFill ini layak digunakan untuk siswa kelas X OTKP SMK Negeri 2 Kediri karena memperoleh hasil validasi sangat valid.

Digital learning has gained a lot of attention over the recent years and is increasingly being utilised as a substitute for both distance education and face-to face learning activities. This chapter initially defines and briefly discusses the advantages and disadvantages of digital learning. With the advancement in technology, there are various digital tools that are now available to enhance the effectiveness of digital learning experience, and some of the major innovative digital tools are detailed in the chapter.

Purpose The purpose of this study was to investigate the adoption and use of electronic document and records management system (EDRMS) in the public service in Namibia and Zimbabwe with the aim of establishing barriers and enablers, and best practices which each country could adopt from the other. Design/methodology/approach This multi-case study was informed by an interpretivist paradigm. Qualitative in nature, the study applied face-to-face interviews as the data collection method, supplemented by documents analysis. The study population was Namibia and Zimbabwe’s public sectors with units of analysis, being the governments’ ministries, offices and agencies which have implemented EDRMS. Findings The paper provides the state of EDRMS implementation in Namibia and Zimbabwe. It establishes how the two countries have implemented EDRMS and factors that have contributed to the success/failure of the implementation in both countries. Originality/value The paper is a response to the need for further research studies on the implementation of EDRMS in various countries.

The objective of the study was to compare the provision of the existing artificial insemination service delivery system (AI-SDS) among public, private and autonomous institutions to the small-scale dairy farmers in Bangladesh. A cross-sectional survey was conducted by using a pre-tested and pre-designed questionnaire and face-to-face interview technique. A stratified-purposive sampling technique was applied to select 165 small-scale dairy farmers from four study areas. Descriptive statistics were performed to know the frequency of the provision of AI services. Public services were available in all study areas whereas autonomous services were only delivered in Mymensingh district. The private service was increasing faster than the public and autonomous service. The public service had higher incentives and network coverage compared to private and autonomous services. The results also showed that 50% of the respondent perceived the AI service as “public goods” and showed no willingness to pay (e.g., free of charge for public service). The demand for the services has been increasing but the existing organizations were not able to provide the services especially to the remote areas. From this study, it is recommended that farmers’ needs should be translated in a way that they get access to their required services in a satisfactory manner.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3329/bjas.v43i3.21643 Bang. This study aims to examine the effect of teaching program activities to see the effectiveness of student learning at SD Negeri 1 Membalong. During the COVID-19 pandemic, teaching and learning activities were shifted to face-to-face learning. Students learn by using various features provided on the internet. For approximately 1 year studying at home, over time now several schools have implemented a new normal and have carried out face-to-face learning activities, one of which is at SD Negeri 1 Membalong while still paying attention to health protocols. Campus teaching program activities are one of the activities that help teachers in teaching and learning activities, administration and introduction of technology. This campus teaching activity is a program designed by Nadiem Makarim which involves students going directly to schools located in 3T areas (frontier, outermost, remote). This activity has a positive impact on students and schools involved in this activity. The purpose of this article is to see how influential this teaching activity program is, then examine how effectively students study at SD Negeri 1 Membalong during the pandemic. This study uses an interactive qualitative method with complete data collection using observations, interviews and documentation during activities at SD Negeri 1 Membalong.

AbstractThis study aims to reveal how melodicalearning using online system in grade VII of SMP Negeri 40 Padang is conducted. It includes planning, implementation, and evaluation in the COVID-19 pandemic situation. The theory used in this study is learning and instruction theory. This research belongs to a qualitative research with descriptive analytic approach. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and literature study. The data analysis was conductedthrough identification, classification, clarification, analysis, explanation, and conclusion. The results show that learning process of Culture and Arts subject at SMP Negeri 40 Padang is conductedfrom home through online learning. Due to learning situation and condition, the teacher designs instructionwhich is is relatively different from face-to-face learning in classrooms.The planning step done by the teacher is preparing learning materials and sending them to students via WA. The materials consist of messages, subject matter, learning activities, and obligations students have to fulfill.The learning implementation conducted by the teacher is controlling student learning by askingthem to send a video recording of blowing, fingering, and training for the BungoParawitan song.Almost all students send video recordings on time. Some of them do not send the videos on time, and these are evaluation and barriers ofonline learning of melodica.  The results of grade VIIstudents’ learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 40 Padang are good. The obstacles faced by the teacher in its implementation are related to preparation, presentation, practice, and the performanceof learning outcomeswhich are very inadequate.Keywords: implementation, Pianica Learning, art culture, Whatsapp Group

In this pandemic era, face-to-face learning cannot be done because the transmission of the virus is very dangerous and after all learning activities must continue, to improve the quality of education in Indonesia, therefore in this sophisticated era we must make the best use of technology for the wrong teaching and learning activities. the only way is by holding it online, but not all schools carry out learning activities with technology, there are still many who do conventional learning such as learning activities in school. The benefit of implementing online learning methods is to make it easier for teachers and students in terms of learning activities. The analysis method used is literature study. design methods that do use the concept of software engineering.

The emergence of online learning offers the opportunities that are not possessed by the traditional face-to-face learning environment. Combining the strengths of the online learning and face-to-face learning, known as blended learning, is believed to enhance the quality of learning. Different subjects may have different designs of blended learning because there is no specific formula for the best practices of blended learning. This paper reports a study investigating the implementation of blended learning in a paragraph writing course. The purposes were to investigate the blended learning activities carried out in the paragraph writing course and to find out the extent to which it affected students’ writing paragraph performance. The participants of this case study, who were selected purposively, involved one lecturer and six students of a paragraph writing class. The techniques for collecting data included interviews, observations, and document analysis, and the data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. Ten blended learning activities, including five activities in face-to-face settings and five activities online, were identified in the course. The students’ paragraph writing performance seen from the result of final test was satisfying, indicating that the use of blended learning had a positive effect on students’ writing performance.

This study aims to determine educational strategies in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic. The Covid 19 pandemic has an impact on the world of education because this requires the learning process to be carried out online by utilizing technology. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The data collection techniques in this study consist of the interview method, the observation method and the documentation method. The results of this study are what SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Bangil does, namely by changing the learning process system from face-to-face learning to online, and also at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Bangil conducting face-to-face learning processes while still complying with health protocols. This distance learning maximizes the role of school principals, waka curriculum, waka student and teachers to interact with students and guardians of students by using applications such as WhatsApp as a medium of learning and communication.
