We associate here the relationship between de-coherence to the statistical notion of disequilibrium with regards to the dynamics of a system that reflects the interaction between matter and a given field. The process is described via information geometry. Some of its tools are shown here to appropriately explain the process’ mechanism. In particular we gain some insight into what is the role of the uncertainty principle (UP) in the pertinent proceedings.

The paper investigates the tuning of a second order compensator from the first compensators generation when used to control a highly oscillating second order process. It compares the performance characteristics of the control system comprising this compensator to control the highly oscillating second order process with those resulting from the use of five compensators from the second compensators generation. The comparison covers three time-based characteristics: maximum percentage overshoot, settling time and steady-state error. All the compensators are tuned and the analysis results help control engineers to select appropriate compensators according to the desired performance characteristic for a specific application.

<p>The current SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has been affecting all sectors worldwide, and efforts have been targeting the enhancement of people’s health and labour conditions of collaborators belonging to healthcare institutions. The recent vaccines emerging against covid-19 are seen as a solution to address the problem that has already killed up to two million people. The preparation of the Pfizer-BioNTech covid-19 vaccine requires a specific manipulation before its administration. A correct homogenization with saline solution is needed and, therefore, a manual process with a predefined protocol should be accomplished. This action can endanger the operators’ ergonomics due to the repetitive movement of the process. This paper proposes a low-cost prototype incorporating an arduino based embedded system actuating a servomotor to perform an autonomous vials’ homogenization allowing to redirect these healthcare workers to other tasks. Moreover, a contactless start order process was implemented to avoid contact with the operator and, consequently, the contamination. The prototype was successfully tested and recognised, and is being applied during the preparation of the covid-19 vaccines at the hospital pharmacy of <em>Centro Hospitalar de Vila Nova de Gaia/Espinho</em>, <em>E.P.E.</em>, Portugal. It can be easily replicated since the source files to assemble it are provided by the authors.</p>

Abstract In present analysis, response of a selected delayed first order process model is compared for various orders of approximation of dead time present in the transfer function model. Effect of different orders of approximation of dead time is analysed on the open loop step response of the system in terms of percentage change in original and dead time approximated system models. For this purpose, consistency parameter in a headbox of a paper machine is selected as a process model as it closely approximates to a first order delayed process model.

Abstract. CV. X is a company engaged in the convection of women's bags and mini backpacks. CV. X uses the make to order process. In the process of making a mini backpack, the activities are carried out in a sitting position according to the standard, namely the sewing process, while for the process of the pattern, the cutting process, and the process of installing the accessories are done in a sitting position on the floor without a base. Based on the results of interviews with operators, it was found that the most complaints with the working conditions of the neck bowed, back bent, sat barefooted with legs crossed occurred in the operator mounting accessories. The method used is the OWAS method and the Nordic Body Map Questionnaire. Based on the results of interviews and the Nordic Body Map questionnaire, complaints were felt that consisted of neck, lower back and lower legs, knees, buttocks, and ankles. The following conditions cause muscle injury, musculoskeletal disorders. The results of the determination of work risk using the Ovako Working Analysis System (OWAS) method obtained all work elements in the process of installing accessories with the second level category, namely the process of gluing spots, cutting relief materials, linking relief and hurdles, linking spots, uniting all elements, and installing accessories. Pada proses pembuatan tas mini backpack yang aktivitasnya dikerjakan dengan posisi duduk sesuai standar yaitu proses penjahitan, sedangkan untuk proses pola, proses potong, dan proses pemasangan accesories dikerjakan dengan posisi duduk dilantai tanpa alas dilakukan secara berulang-ulang dan dalam jangka waktu yang lama. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan operator didapatkan bahwa keluhan terbanyak dengan kondisi kerja leher menunduk, punggung membungkuk, duduk tanpa alas dengan kaki menyilang terjadi pada operator pemasangan accesories. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode OWAS dan Kuisioner Nordic Body Map. Berdasarkan hasil dari wawancara dan kuisioner Nordic Body Map diperoleh keluhan yang dirasakan terdiri dari bagian leher, punggung atas dan bawah, lutut, bokong/paha, dan pergelangan kaki.. Hasil dari penentuan risiko kerja menggunakan metode Ovako Working Analysis System (OWAS) didapat seluruh elemen kerja pada proses pemasangan accesories dengan kategori level dua yaitu proses merekatkan bintik, menggunting bahan lega, mengaitkan lega dan gawang, mengaitkan bintik, menyatukan semua elemen, dan pemasangan accesories.

Many companies engaged in printing services still use manual processes in their transactions, the system process is less efficient and the possibility of errors in input data can still occur. Like the process of recording orders using paper, calculations using calculators and sales transactions written on books. Therefore, for these problems, a cashier application is needed that can facilitate the order process, calculations and transactions accurately with a web-based cashier application that features login, sales transactions, product data, add products, settings and exit applications. Our development process uses the waterfall method and to describe the system design we use the Unified Modeling Language (UML). Application using the waterfall method can make it easier to complete the application development process because there are already stages in the method.

ABSTRACT Introduction The study investigated the use of defects per million medication orders (DPMMO) as a SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely) indicator for monitoring medication safety in admission and discharge orders. The study aimed to develop and test a new indicator as an investigator of medication safety. Methods The study was conducted in 2018 at King Saud Medical City in Riyadh City in Saudi Arabia. A retrospective cross-sectional design was used. The research sample had 292 patients. The selected medication orders included two types of medication orders (admission and discharge order). After sufficient data had been gathered from the hospitals, a statistical analysis was carried out. Results Analysis of admission and discharge orders indicated that defects per million opportunities (DPMO) and DPMMO count were slightly low, while the sigma level for admission orders was slightly high. Thus, the admission order process was slightly better than the discharge order process. Conclusion The DPMMO indicator could serve as a SMART indicator of medical safety. It can be used as a standardized indicator in any healthcare facility, which serves as a recommendation guide in monitoring and evaluating healthcare processes or systems that affect the safety and outcomes of patients.
