Example 5.3: __________________________________________________________________________ Find the dc operating point of the JFET circuit in Figure 5.10. Assume that I DSS = 1 mA , and VP = 4 V .

Example 5.4: Dual supply operation _____________________________________________________ Determine the dc operating point of the n-channel JFET in Figure 5.12. Assume that I DSS = 0.27 mA and

VP = 3 V . The other parameters are VDD = 6 V, VSS = 6 V, R D = 2.2 k , and R S = 33 k .

Example 5.5:_______________________________________________________________________ Determine the point of operation of the JFET circuit given in Figure 5.15. Assume that I DSS = 0.25 mA and VP = 2 V . Draw the dc load line and indicate the dc operating point. The other circuit parameters are

R S = 50 k , R D = 12 k , VSS = 6 V, and VDD = 6 V.

Example 5.6: An n-Channel Common-Source Amplifier ____________________________________ Determine the dc operating point of an n-channel JFET circuit of Figure 5.21. If the JFET operates in the saturation (active) region, determine the voltage, current, and power gains. Assume that I DSS = 2 mA and

VP = 2 V .
